No one in the nfl is soft in most cases. They are all bad a** athletes and football players. They just sucked so they wanted to suck in the shade.

They were certainly uninspired and boring. The inmates ran the asylum this season those who were whining because Harbaugh was too tough were definitely soft and most likely were the ones on their phones.

Patriots practice extra hard when they have to play a Thursday night game. We... well we don't, because we have to "take care of the body". The "body" also gets conditioned to the punishment, and becomes more injury resilient through practice. Results speak for themselves.

I don't think the team played "soft" - there was plenty of big hits and fight at times.
But the team was under prepared for most games and it showed.

I rarely saw any lack of effort from the 49ers players,i don't they they are soft,i just think there not as talented as some other teams and were very poorly coached.

I don't think they were soft. I think they practiced soft so they came out playing soft especially in the first half of games. As SFTifoso alluded to, walk throughs for an entire week leading up to the game against Seattle at home, had the team totally unprepared.

Absolutely soft. Got pushed around on defense and got absolutely abused along the offense line all year every game every quarters. Thank the "Top 5 GM"
