Entire coaching staff are out... meaning OC and DC or everybody including assistants?

Better at least keep Rathman.

49ers send a press release announcing that Jim Tomsula has been relieved of his head-coaching duties.

Almost makes it sound like they'll keep him around for something else. I assume you don't get demoted from HC and go back to being the devensive line coach at the same team... JT doesn't look like a big ego guy but I don't think even he would accept that right?

He's not coming back.

Wouldn't mind him staying as a defensive coach. Preferably not DC though.

Tom Jimsula....err Tim Jomsula, or whoever the Niners fired Jim Harbaugh for, is out. Safe to say that wasn't an upgrade.
Thank you Lord... I can sleep in peace tonight
Expected...but I'll say this. Tomsula's a stand-up guy who was put in a no-win situation. He deserved better. IMHO, Baalke's HC search should begin and finally end with Sean Payton, once he gets his pink slip from the Saints.

Keep an eye on Sean Payton and the #49ers. If the #Chargers are keeping Mike McCoy, this is Payton's best chance to move near his daughter

Sure but he has a $10.5 Million severance that should keep him fed.
Coaches contract unlike players are fully guarantee. He will be well paid for the next 3 years, unless Jed settle a buyout.
