Your draft board should be your draft board. If they got a pass rusher rated highly then they should take him instead of a random guard just b/c it's a need.

I couldn't agree more.

You haven't noticed what happens to them? Check out Key last year.

People cry when we get these kind of players then get mad when we let them walk lol.

sign Kerry Hyder in 2020 - "who?"

kerry Hyder signs with Seattle in 2021 - "fire lynch"

can't make these casuals happy lol

Yes draft board is draft board. But if they have say an ER and S rated evenly, this signing would probably swing the pendulum to drafting S.

you hear alot about getting a cb/safety guy.. do you care much about that stuff or do you just want a great safety? i think we are ok with our new corner. maybe resign jason v for cheap?

The Pitre guy from Baylor seems to check all the boxes from football IQ/work ethic to talent. He can play all over the secondary, good blitzer and tackler and could eventually take over for Ward.

True. Delicate balance between now and tomorrow. With a rookie ER you can get some production in nickel today under Kocurek and maybe a FT long term solution tomorrow. I'm just speaking towards the FO's team building philosophy up to this point. The guys they have in front of the rookie are on short term deals. So I could still see them rationalize an ER over secondary as they don't look for premier players there.

beware of people who tell you things. but i have been told. this is a nice deep pass rush class... your point about the one year deals is well taken. but because we have signed these guys and at least have people in place....... that we could get a good. not elite but a good to very good pass rush guy in the 3rd or even 4th round, it just seems to me our fish we need to fry early in the draft at 2 or 3 should be secondary. offensive line and then your edge rusher and wide out. maybe you have been told something different . part of me wants to say.. i really have no clue what the plan is inside of the head of lynch for team building or if there is one....... but I will refrain from saying so

You must be kidding, Lynch will love that pick more than anybody...Pitre coming off a major injury

Nice rotation esp. if Kinlaw can just, literally, stand there and not get moved.

LDE/W9: Samson Ebukam; Kerry Hyder, Charles Omenihu & Alex Barrett
2i: Javon Kinlaw; Chris Slayton & Hassan Ridgeway
3T: Arik Armstead; Maurice Hurst & Kevin Givens
RDE/W9: Nick Bosa; Jordan Willis, Kemoko Turay & Dee Ford

The inside after the 2 starters are weak.

Nah, Givens is a beast. Hurst is due for a bounce-back year.

Id say Givens is serviceable more or less, nothing special. Hurst on the other hand is a good player when healthy imo. I hope he can stay healthy this season as he and Armstead can be a nice inside rushing duo on money downs.
