If this is true, we truly are screwed

If Jimmy T comes back , I wanna see a brand spanking new offensive coaching staff on the sidelines next season ...Chryst, Logan and Foerster need to go !!!

I realize you cant pin EVERYTHING on the offensive coaching staff, but as a fan, you want to see glimpses of improvement for the future, and some sort of structure for future success , this offensive coaching staff hasn't provided any glimpses of productivity and improvement ( despite the miracle bomb in Chicago to end the game)

Tomsula is a nice guy, and will do anything York/Baalke asks of him. Match made in heaven.

I will always root for the 9ers players to play as well as they can. But the objective part of me thinks the team is screwed for the foreseeable future and I put that mostly on the Yorks. They don't know how to run a football franchise for what I think are real fans of the team. They have a "overdeveloped" sense of "class". They build a "classy" stadium and do their best to get "classy" people (you know, the wine and brie cheese types that cheer loudest when the offense is on the field and sit on their hands for the defense) to populate their stadium. They get rid of that embarrassingly unclassy overamped-on-the-sidelines-$8-khaki-wearing-pain-in-the-butt winning coach.

They won't admit that they made a mistake in elevating Tomsula (who I think is an okay guy on a personal level) to head coach. I'll bet in their heads they know he isn't ever going to take them to playoffs and probably won't even get close to that, but the "classy" thing to do is give him another year - a convenient "classy" rationalization for not having to admit they made a mistake. And then if/when he flops next year they can "classily" say that they gave him a chance and then throw him under the bus with class.

I'm the kind of fan that has tried to look for reasons to hope things will get better even when things have been bad. The Yorks have finally snuffed almost all the hope out of me. Not that I think people with their "class" give a s**t that people like me have lost hope.

Normally, I would agree. No one who is running a major professional sports franchise could be a moron or be concerned about a couple of million dollars when billions of dollars are at stake. That would have to be hyperbole. But nothing about this organization is normal. From the firing of Harbaugh, through the hiring of Tomsula with the disastrous press conference where he sounded like a complete idiot and out of his depth, the entire football world has been laughing at and ridiculing our front office. But they refuse to admit their mistakes and instead keep doubling down. When it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, maybe it is a duck.

When are the Yorks going to realize the only way for a SF offense to perform well is to bring a true WCO coach in. We have only had one and that was Alex Smiths rookie season.

Exactly , I hate it we have been ignoring WCO coaches , our offense hasn't had a chance to even begin developing for the future, bringing in a different offensive system year after year really screwed us after Mooch left, we need an offensive minded head coach, because every time we bring in a head coach with a defensive background, we lose our OC's and have to start all over again , different schemes and terminology has never allowed our offense to hit the ground running .....

Everything circles around to the fact that Baalke has and will assemble a power running/defensive team.
No WCO. Totally not his thing.
And, in a nutshell, Tomsula is capable of guiding a pound it out team if all the talent is in place.
Delivering the goods. Not inventing them. That's what we got.

Belichick doesn't run an offense based on a WCO scheme. I don't have anything against the WCO, but I think what is crucial is the savviness of the coach, not the scheme. I am a retired teacher and saw a lot of really effective teachers and one of the mistakes I often saw administrators make was that they thought what was important in choosing a great teacher was the system that the teacher used. But I can tell you that is not the case. The system was among the least important things in what made a great teacher. I think the same is true with coaches.

What you need is for a very good to great coach to be available and for a front office to be sharp enough to spot that coach and do what it takes to sign them to the team. If that coach happens to favor the WCO, that's fine, but if he doesn't, don't get hung up on it and pass him by.

"Jay Feely, a former NFL kicker, said he believes Tomsula will return" Not exactly Gospel etched in stone. I'm still holding out hope that Jed MIGHT do the right thing and 86 this staff. Unfortunately I'm starting to agree w/ those who believe we need to get blown out in the last 2 games to help facilitate this.

Probably lol. Honestly I can't even begin to picture what next years going to look like until after the draft. If we trade kap in the offseason or release him that gives me an idea. But I think after the draft we will alll know exactly what this franchise wants to do

The same BS that got us here in the first place. In their minds any success is due to their diligence and smart decisions and anything that doesn't work out is simply bad luck or player failure.

Nobody is going to want to work for Tomsula lol.

Sadly that seems to be right on ..but I guess the front office don't care, as long as they have their "Yes Man" at the helm , a coach that wont kick them out of the locker room or damage fragile egos
