He kept nearly doing something, I'd rather someone who actually does something here and there, even if they're otherwise ineffective. Purcell a great example (I know different position, but point stands).

Your lack of football knowledge has been clearly on display. As a pass rusher, getting pressure is every bit as important as registering sacks. It's clear by those stats he did just that. But please tell us more about Purcell being a better player

Seriously?

Lynch was getting heavy pressure all night despite getting doubled and held the whole game.

Its not about sack totals, its about making the QB feel pressure. Lynch has been by FAR our best front 7 guy this year. How anyone could criticize him is beyond me...
0 is the number of sacks we recorded last night. cost us game. thats on scheme.

Bowman not only is coming back from a serious injury...he loses his Hall of Fame partner #52 and Justin Smith who often ate up more than one blocker. Bowman is not the issue here. You take a great player and surround them with garbage, even they can't do everything. Look at Drew Brees this season after Jimmy Graham got dealt.

This. I saw Bowman all over the field tackling. He chased a receiver 31 yards down field to make the tackle. This is like the 3rd straight game he led the team in tackles. I guess I'm not seeing what everyone else is seeing when they say he's slowed.

He's making tackles where he used to force incompletions/turnovers. He's not actually playing poorly at all, but he's playing more like an NFL LB than a game-changing freak. His play isn't necessarily the reason we lost, but game planning for him to be the guy he was definitely contributed to our coverage problems, IMO.

guys did a great job. so proud of them. i know many expected a blowout but I saw tremendous growth and improvement. it is a game of inches, we were two inches from the game wining pick, bowman had great coverage and was three inches from breaking up the play,, nothing you could do there,,, ck was good. if nothing else this game SHOULD eliminated the crazy talk about gabbert. i do not want to hear that ck is still on the hot seat, he has to prove it, blah blah. its done, its over, ck is the man moving foward and there was NEVER any serious discussion otherwise.... now the thing that upset me was manginis defense at crunch time, i understand we got the good eli last night and he was hot which happens but we should not have allowed a team with their two wide outs on the bench to move down and win the game and how we could not account for a stupid running back is unreal,,,,,,, however overall, while the guys took the loss hard they can see the good things they did, there is no divided house and we are a better team now as compared to a week ago,,,, just got to get both sides to play well at the same time! tight ends were good to without vernon

please hide under the bed till the season is over.. sure our d was not good but the guys battled all night , the offense is much improved and if you can not see the positives, well you should hide under the bed in my opinion
We just need to wait til they put Hodges in, instead of Wilhoite, it will happen.

But i agree its not all on Bowman, Bowman is still fighting out there.

What bugged me about this game was how open we kept leaving the middle!, all they had to do was put someone there, and or dumb it off to the RB.

We just couldn't catch a break there, we let the Giants move down the field way too easy!

Also! i feel like that last drive they where they dumped it to Vereen, they had that Center running down the field, which should have been Illegal man down field, or in ineligible man down field.

But also, we should have got that Pick!, as well as at least got Manning down for a sack, We oppurtunity but fell short!

Our offense was finally getting some spark though! thats what i loved about this game.

Putting in Tiller over Devey made a difference, they jus need to give Tiller full time snaps! please bench Pears once again! guys weaker than anyone i've seen.

Problem, we can't seem to get a good play out of our defense and offense in the same game.

only being new to this game i not sure how to describe in detail what concerned me and why it happened and how they fix it but here goes anyhow

My concern was how easy it was for the giants to make ground between the 30's with short passes to WR's that seemed poorly marked. It did not look to me that our safeties were up in the line and blitzing so why was there so much room for them behind our line of scrimmage. Seems wrong to allow so many easy yards in the middle yardages and then have to defend even harder with our backs to the line
Guys I know u don't wanna hear this but ya they looked good on offense in the 2nd half but bad teams find a way to lose... And that's what we did last night. I bet the Ravens beat us next week
Really? The reason he wasn't getting home was due to receivers not even being covered at times because of the zones we were running and Eli recognizing it instantly. It really had nothing to do with anything. No one was getting home in these situations.

51 pass attempts. what that say about where ny thought our weakness was.
The good: Kaps rebound, finding his mojo and WR's
Nice balance on offense
Replacing Devey. Now get A Davis to come back. HUGE signing bonus and reworked contract Jed to come out of retirement!

The bad: Leaving 2 minutes on the clock for the giants offense
Using Ellington on offense for only the first couple(?) drives. Patton isn'tan upgrade

The ugly: Defense once again letting WRs run in open spaces seems to be either a very weak defensive scheme or just flat out blown coverage

Needless to say had the offense played like this last week and the defense played like last week there may have been 2 more W's for the team
They say there are no moral victories in a loss but this one while hurts because it was sos close against a good team, it feels better than the last 3 weeks losses
