Did Torrey and Boldin have PTSD from their time with the Ravens?

Boldin didn't look very interested until the end of the game which was really weird. Hangover maybe?

That and I'm sure the Steelers are familiar with the duo.

I think optimism, even on a day like this, is great.

I just think the 49ers are a bit over hyped at this point.

There are a lot of good teams out there, well coached, with some pretty good weapons on the offensive side of the ball.
There will be tougher games down the road, but today's loss was no real surprise. I also didn't think the Steelers could score over 40 points on this defense...that was surprising.
Doesn't look good overall. Onto the next one.

Agree, let's give the Cardinals a handful

They got our only 2 TD's. VD is the guy I take issue with.
Can I pull a jonesadrian and post I told you so in every thread?

Haley powned Mangini. They made it look easy. Had guys wide open all day. They had some penalties and it didn't even phase them.

He certainly had the time rest and home field advantage

Time? The schedule has been out for awhile now. That effects the players more, shouldn't effect the coaches as much. Rest, again, that effects the players. Coaches should have a sound game plan even with the short turnaroud.

Sure implementing it isn't as easy on short notice so i'll give you that. But the coaches should adjust.

As for home-field, we have 7 more road games to go and we'll need to win a few to make the playoffs.

That's not how you make friends here.

VD seems to be done with football, we may as well integrate youngsters into the lineup

I feel so depressed, what a familiar feeling...

I don't know why...I had zero hopes of the 49ers winning, and in fact predicted a Steelers' blowout. Niners on short week having to go to eastern time zone, 10am kick, vs a team on 10 days rest... and a team that is simply better. And then an offensive game plan that started out acting like the Steelers don't have an elite offense that would be scoring all day, as if they (Niners) could afford this long, time-consuming drives for FG attempts.
Fitzgerald's revival ends next week.

John Brown is going to feast

They will have to keep someone in over the top on him.

But MOST importantly, they need to force Palmer to move. They cannot afford to let Palmer sit back and chuck the football around.

Agreed. No sacks on Big Ben. Not sure if he was even hit.

Fangio's d was top notch because he always kept guys on coverage, rushed four all the time. We all knew mangini's D was gonna give up stuff

This is true

As many would like to point out, Fangio had arguably the most talented D in the league. Mangini does not have that. Either Mangini called a horrible defensive game or our players just played like crab today. But give me a break on Fangio D did this or that. How is his D looking in Chicago? Fangio did great work for us, but it many more factors that have to be considered.

Let me get off this board

Is he going to have Ebola or something?

I like that York tries to inspire business opportunities to try and circumvent the salary cap, but it's made VD soft as f**k. His eyes are way passed football.

Not a hater just a realist
Not a good game. Defense did not look right at all. Running game went to hell. However Kaep looked good passing the ball.some stupid drops and his line collapsed all game but he showed great improvement today. He was the one bright spot for us today.
