So basically all of the negative 49ers predictions revolve around:

  • The 49ers oline sux!!! Based on what? Surely it can't be the preseason where the coaches obviously said that they were experimenting with various configurations to get film on guys. The coaches also said that they didn't allow Kap to call any audibles as part of the experiment. Seattle's offensive line is worse, but I bet some here are already crowning the motherf**kers.
  • Teddy Bridgewater is the black Aaron Rodgers. Based on what exactly?
  • Adrain Peterson will get the single game rushing record on Monday night. Based on what? He hasn't played the game for a whole year and we expect him to not miss one beat. But with Navarro Bowman we are still cautiously optimistic somehow that he will return to form even after he was lights out during the preseason.
  • Our defense will give up a lot of yards and points. Based on what exactly? Last year our D was top five with former practice squad players, rookies and backups. Perrish Cox who was a scrub at best, had a breakout season. The coaches didn't even see fit for him to start in the NFCC the previous year. We don't know what will happen. The only thing we know is that this group looked better than last years group in the preseason.

Admit it, you're all eating the know-nothing media's bait hook line and sinker. The same ones that thought Harbaugh was a god, the 49ers Oline was one of the best in the league and that the 49ers had a top 5 receiving corp. All were wrong. Last year they said the offense would need to score points because the defense was going to give up a ton of points. Wrong on that front too. All the offense had to do last year was maintain the previous year's PPG average and we would have been Super Bowl bound. The media can be wrong, they have been wrong in the past and it's quite likely that they will be wrong again this year.

I honestly don't know what the 'Niners have that is going to be decent? Hyde? But even if he is good, the O-line is garbage... no WR's to take pressure off of teams stacking the box either.

Kap is probably the most overrated, and overpayed QB in the history of the game. Not to mention he literally has zero established weapons to utilize.

Basically the only thing the 'Niners have going for them in this game, is that their Home Field is probably in the worst condition of any field in the league; the home team will be use to it, and the Vikings won't be.

Still predict a blow-out: 34-13 - Vikings.

I have no issue with you predicting a blowout, but your reasoning is awful. Niners have no established wrs? Are you kidding? LOL

I'll touch on your OL question because some of the other things are just silly and hearsay from reporters or media or wherever you're getting your information. All it take is to watch the games and see that our OL is not very good.

Staley and Boone are the only ones to start a full season worth of games. Their pass blocking has been awful for the last few years.
C, Martin would be playing RG if Kilgore was healthy. He showed some good things last year but a young player with a handful of starts is going to make mistakes.
We have 2 guys at RG and RT who should be backups but we have no one else to play there.

They had all of one 2 min offensive drive together in the preseason. Not saying this group has zero chance of being decent but it's far from a solid OL that's for sure.

I give this one to the Vikings 28-14 based on the Vikings having a very good defense plus the speed of their wideouts is going to give us problems and open up lanes for Adrian Peterson.

Sorry, if I'm not going to rely on AQ being the player he has been in the past, and VD was atrocious last year.
Sorry fellow fans but, this is gonna be an ugly start for favorite squad.

You mean staley, the guy who gave up like only 4 sacks all of last year, most of which game to demarcus ware on a short week? Boone hasnt even been playing a few years, he was fantastic, in 2012, 2013, and started slow in the first 8 gameslast year but played a bit better in the last 8(albeit not as good as pff graded him).

Martin looked considerably better at C, still worried about him but I think he should be solid enough in his second year. Cant agree more on the right side of the line though, they would be back ups if anthony davis didn't retire and kilgore was healthy.

agree we could have had a nice looking line Staley - Boone - Kilgore - Martin - Davis. but a retirement and injury messed that up.

I look for Min to come hard at that right side with heavy blitzes. Take away Kaps first read and make him flush to his opposite side.

AQ being what he has been in the past 2 years you mean, or same with torrey? I would bet you money vernon has a better season the last year if he stays healthy.

SO lets count this,
1 receiver who has had 1900 yards over the last two years and 15 touchdowns.
another who has had 2200 hundred yards and 12 touchdowns over the last two years
oh and a tight end who had a terrible season last year due to injury and being a jack ass, but had 13 touchdowns and over 800 yards the year prior is in a contract year.

Yeah, but none of them have done anything recently. Its like these people dont watch the games LOL.

this realitycheckguy has to be a shehawks fan.
What makes you think these things? In the NFL, once there a player shows signs of regression, they rarely bounce back to their prime. I'm not saying that it can't, or won't happen, just that it would be an outlier.

I expect a lot of running, some zone read to try and eliminate one of those dlinemen, some roll outs, quick passing, and screens. Plus they should use vance to stay in and chip everson griffen. There is things they can do schematically to slow down that rush. I think if devey can hold up they can do enough to protect kapernick from pears f'in up.

Q & Torrey won a SB together as a duo.

Q has been killing it with us since hes been here.

Vernon is established despite one horrible year.

Plus just like any team, we have a group of young guys with upside.

WR is not an issue with us this year.

How has boldin shown signs of regression? Vernon is only 31, thats old, but for may thats still the tail end of his prime. He was self admittedly injured last year and from all reports has been a focal point of the offense? If healthy, you truly believe vernon wont catch more then 26 passes?
