I for one hope we dont get too blitz happy, it really exposes your secondary if you dont get there. I'd like to see us be able to get to the Qb consistently with the front 7.

We'll see. The article makes a lot of good points. I think there is something to this 4 safety, hybrid defense with the league becoming increasingly pass happy. You want hybrid players who can defend the run and cover man-to-man. AZ employed it heavily last year, and we might do the same since our ILB depth took a hit.
If Bowman is healthy he's an elite 3-down player. Wilhoite was a 3-down player last year, but might lose some snaps in passing situations to Tartt. I have to think we spent a 2nd rd pick on this kid to do more than just special teams and sit behind Bethea. I think we have a role in mind for him in the defense this year, mainly as a hybrid ILB/SS.
