Montana, Rice, Young, Lott and then there's about 10 players who should be top five but there isn't enough room. Five is too few places for a 65 year franchise that has won 5 championships and has 23 former players in the Hall of Fame.

I dont know how anyone starting a All-49er team wouldn't pick Frank Gore. When you consider his year over year production, clutchness, leadership, relative health and longevity, no way in heck he's not a top 5 pick.
