I do think Kelly's offense could be beneficial to Gabbert who can make quick short throws without having to move well in the pocket.
I didn't say it was impressive. I just think that the 49ers need a true franchise QB and that guy isn't on the roster right now. If it comes down to Kaepernick serving as a placeholder for $11+ mil or Gabbert at $2 mil, Gabbert clearly has the advantage. In anycase, neither of these guys will be on the 49ers roster in a couple years.
