As a 49er fan I can choose to want to see BG as the starting QB in 2016. Most 49ers fan are tired of Kap and his shortcomings. We would rather see him leave now and the FO use his money and roster spot to improve the roster.

If you are a die hard Kap fan, you can root for him, but it doesn't mean he will magically bounce back, make a pro bowl, beat Seattle 2x, win the division and win a Super Bowl for already choking one away

Hopefully on another team

Yes, because if he had success next year on the 49ers it would devastate some of our judgements. And being a little off on an assessment is way more uncomfortable than watching a guy that was previously unwanted on your team thrive elsewhere....

LOL... Chip doesn't care about Kap. If they keep Kap, play Kap and Kap still can't win, for example beat Seattle, Kap is done regardless. Obviously, the die hard Kap fans still wants to see Kap bounce back, to beat Seattle in Seattle, doesn't mean Kap will or can

I am a die hard 49ers fan. I like to see all of our players bounce back despite how I feel about their character.

I like your crystal ball, where did you buy it?

And does it also say the 49ers will magically have a top rank defense next season as good as Carolina's???

Sucks that they tried to make him something that he will never be, a pure pocket passer. I'm curious if he's on the roster next year if he can get back to the Kap of old in Kelly's offense or if he's to far gone mentally.

ME!! We had something really good going and tried to change it because we listened to all the idiots saying "it's a gimmick". Well it got us to the SB. Got Seattle to the SB twice. Carolina embraces it this year and...well you know. If Bill Walsh listened to all the "it's a gimmick" comments, there would be no WCO.

Niners did give Kaep time to improve. 2013, 2014, and especially going into 2015. Whatever he's doing, didn't translate onto the field with playing qb.

Good for you. You can root for the over rated, self centered, fame seeking, and now ill fated Kap while I root for BG as the starter.
Have a good day

Especially 2015 lol I give you the worst coaching staff in NFL history, here's your big chance!!
It's pointless to come an talk in this thread your either a Kap lover from day one or you hated him from day one...nothing is gonna change that, it's like talking to a wall in here.

What's wrong with thinking Kap might just play a little better under chip's offense like every other QB his has? No I don't think Kap is a elite QB nor will he ever be, but what wrong with seeing what he can do under chip? There aren't better options and if he loses out to Blaine so be it.

I will say it again. As a Panthers fan, there is very little difference between Newton, Kaepernick, Wilson, and Luck. Some are a little better than others at one aspect...but then not as good as the others. But ONLY in the case of Luck is the fan base willing to give him the time and EXPERIENCE necessary to learn, adjust, and grow. ONLY Luck gets this benefit.

The sad thing is that Wilson, Kaepernick, and now Newton have in 4 straight years, played in the Superbowl. Wilson was a yard away from being back to back champion...and Kaepernick about 5 yards from winning a Superbowl too. Yet it is Luck that is given all the benefit of the doubt.

Not Newton, Not Kaepernick, Not Wilson...but the great Andrew Luck...

And keep in mind, Andrew Luck and IND never had the great defense that helped the 49ers (gone now, will take a long long time to rebuilt it and it still might not ever come back), Seattle, and now Carolina to the Super Bowl.

Do you really want to get in a debate on the AMAZING resources and SUPPORT that Colts have given Luck.

Let's start:
Got rid of Manning to make sure Luck will feel comfortable.
Retained Wayne to ensure that Luck will have a vet WR
Immediately drafted Luck's college roommate and TE the pick after him
Hired Bruce Arians as his OC
Drafted OL (some out of Stanford)
Placed Luck in a system that relied on his strengths

Hired his college OC when Arians took the AZ job
Drafted WR after WR after WR (in early rounds) to ensure that Luck would have gaudy numbers
Traded first round drafts picks for RB after his RB went down

Signed Johnson
Signed Gore
Signed a pro bowl OL from the Eagles

Luck will in all likelihood sign a contract that pays him North of 25 million a year.

You are literally are on crack if you believe the Colts have not done EVERY damn thing in their collective power to make Luck be as successful as can be.

Any ONE of those moves are more than ANYTHING the Panthers have done for Newton in 5 years.

Especially in 2015 with tomsula and a bush league OL??? You can't be real when you think the FO supplied him with the best tools possible to improve this past season?

I completely agree. I am not hoping Kaepernick will fail, I just don't have faith he will step it up. If Chip gives through camp, picks him, I am a 49er fan, I am rooting for the guys on the field and hoping they do well. I just absolutely don't think he is the guy, and if we could grab a couple of linemen instead of paying his salary hoping he improves at this stage of his career, I would be happier with that decision. No hate for Kaep, just truly believe it us time to move along. But if he is here for TC, let the best QB win.

He wanted to improve on a bad 2014 year so badly that he went to bat for keeping Geep Chryst his qb coach as OC. But mostly he has to take upon himself to improve. He didn't. Chryst simplified the offense to give him simple passing concept equivalent of 'layups' yet he couldn't hit them.

Personal? LOL!!!

Some people just can't handle the truth, like most of the kap die hards on here, oh well.
