Relax, just having a little fun, my goodness.

But to tell you the truth, that's unacceptable for a multi million dollar QB. He didn't even make any pre-snap reads and it shouldn't matter who his head coach is he should be able to make that read.

If this play was in any other spot other than the 2yd line and against the best DLine in football, I would be right there with you guys ...smh
But, the spot on the field and the play-it-safe mentality of the coaching staff (as well as other factors like a s**tty oline) make me feel different.

It is the safe play though, no CB or Safety is anywhere near Torrey Smith and Kap has more than enough arm strength to make that throw. We can blame Tomsula and Geep Chryst all day for being conservative, but that play needed to be made, obviously Torrey Smith jumping up and down thought so too.

That's were we differ. I don't view it as a safe play, and I already covered the many reasons for feeling that way(arm strength not being one).

Moving on...

Thing is too, he didn't even look in Smith's direction. I mean if you are committed to running the ball at that play at least recognize or check Torrey Smith to try and get that extra defender outta the box. Kap didn't even do that. But it's not just this game either, he actually looked a lot more horrible vs. Arizona week 3. Kap took every snap in that game and all he could muster was 67 yards passing, what multi million dollar QB does that? How about vs. Seattle at home, even Ken Dorsey had better games vs. Seattle than Kap.....we talkin Ken Dorsey!!

I just think a change of scenery should do Kap some good, Baalke just doesn't seem committed to him.
I dont care for this quitter anymore but IF we hire Hue Jackson or Sean Payton and they decide they can work with this quitter then ill be on board
Valrod is just being Valrod...but for others who bash Kaepernick for having surgery at mid season..

are u the same that are worried about Kap not passing his physical? of the 9ers being on the hook for that year of his contract?

well which is it?

if he waited until the offseason to get that shoulder surgery, then wouldn't he for sure not have been ready for that April physical?

The radio station bashes and accuses him for trying to cheat the system...lol But then they also bash him for opting for surgery in the middle of the season...saying he abandoned his teammates.

Just be honest, for some of you...it doesn't matter what he does, you'll find something wrong with it...even if it contradicts what you eventually want.
The market will decide Kap's value. If he is a worthless as some suggest he will be out of the NFL next year. The 64 head coaches/general managers will evaluate how Kap has performed under pressure and fundamentals won't be ignored. It's hard to imagine giving up a high draft choice and a substantial salary after his recent performance. A possible scenario would be as a replacement if a team loses a quarterback to injury in the middle of the season. The guy does have that "dazzle factor" but the league seems to have adjusted forcing Kap into a more traditional role which he hasn't been able to master. Hopefully Kap will bounce back but to suggest he has been poorly coached after a lifetime of football defies logic. When the pressure is on he reverts to what he knows made him a star at Reno. Giving up anything substantial for Kap would appear risky and the NFL owners et. al. are not likely to jump for a guy who was demoted from one of the worst teams in football.

The Seattle team Dorsey faced were nowhere near as good as the current Seattle team.

It's difficult to take your opinions seriously when you display non-sequitur logic like this.

That is something jreff22 made up. The guy creates narratives on the spot. Kaep just needs a competent line and a running game that can at least keep defenses honest. Running game and line improved as the season went on this year too.

When the pressure is on he has won playoff games under extreme pressure with his legs and his arm. I disagree here.

Kaep has been coached to not be aggressive. Take the sack. You see it with all of the QB's that were coached under Harbaugh. This is why I would love to see Kaep in the right scheme with a coach who can maximize his talents. Were Cam and Russ forced to play and adapt to the current OC's offense or vice versa? Kaep needs to go to the right team. SF is not the right team.

What's not safe about the play?

Snap, turn, throw.

He takes less steps backwards than a handoff.

*sacked* Safety

"jedediahyork:" Kaep sucks booo!!!!

Whether he made the play or not, it would not have changed your mind on Kaep one way or another so what's the point?

Kaepernick's left knee issue is preventing him from running and jumping. Surgery is not currently prescribed for his injury but a follow-up MRI is scheduled in late February.

Kind of hard to be the QB when you can't run or jump. Oh and have a torn thumb ligament in your throwing hand prob makes it harder to pass, I'm no doctor doe. Oh and the pain form a torn shoulder muscle prob didn't feel good, again still not a doctor.

I think the 49ers should re evaluate their medical staff as well. Taking this long to find injuries in your highest paid player is troubling to say the least.

From what I've seen of Gabbert, is that at his very best he matches Kap at his worst hahah

I'm not ready to give up on Kap, and I doubt the new HC will too.
Great, an injured thumb just bought us a 17 or whatever million dollar scrub back up QB. What will his salary be next year? Freaking ridiculous.

I'm really not sure why folks get bent out of shape. Players get injured. Kap tried to play through it, but he was playing like ass. So he got benched.

So he opted to get fixed mid season because he knew he wouldn't play, and after watching what they did to Harbaugh, probably decided he'd better get healthy for the offseason because the Niners might cut him and being healthy sure would help getting a new job. Or if they kept him, he might want to be healthy to compete for a starting job next year.

Should he have waited until the offseason, knowing he wasn't going to play and put his future at risk?

lulz fans.
