2015 Kap might not be worth that much, and some can argue about last year... even though far more worse QBs have been paid more.

But a QB who has won in the playoffs....is worth that much. Yall can hate Kap, or maybe you just don't believe in him....but that is the truth. You see these same Top QBs make the playoffs and win none... to maybe one playoff game.

if the new HC or GM feel that this 2015 had more to do with these inexperienced coaches and horrible Oline...than Kaepernick being the reason. Then I'm sure the new people in charge (including Baalke, who might be back..and had his little private convo with Colin) would rather pay Kaepernick regular starter money and see what they really have.....while still trying to see what they have in Gabbert and a draft pick (mid round)

and this is all without taking into consideration that Kaepernick was playing injured because the coaching/medical staff didn't take it serious.

Yall can call me a fanboy or the usual "Kap is gone" responses....and frankly I don't think it matters to Kaepernick if he is gone... but I'm just saying, just don't be too surprised if that is not the case.

this is not a post about what we should do...and you shouldn't respond with what you would do.... but more so what do you think the next Head Coach who needs to look out for himself, would do.

They want Ryan Fitzaptrick. Let them have him.
I want Kap back!

He will be observing from the sideline. Hope he stays with the 49ers who hopefully will give him one more chance.

Name a non-elite QB who plays consistently well.

Kaep is a project much like Cam Newton. The difference is Cam has a coaching staff that knows WTF they're doing and has developed an offense built around him, and the 9ers...well...I don't need to say much. Russ is the same type of player. There are several other "limited" QBs who are playing well in offenses that are built to their strengths. Cam, Smith, Newton, etc. Kaep's potential was through the roof and he was winning playoff games while developing. That's what made him so good. If anyone thought he would be able to carry a team as poor as this one, then you clearly had unreasonable expectations. We are talking about 9er fans though...

If he can't carry a team then he shouldn't be paid like he is.

What QB does though? And even if a QB can win for a extend period of time....not through the playoffs?

these QBs also have Good-Great Coaches.

Kaepernick has shown that he can pass well and win a game....and win in the playoffs, if he has alittle time in the pocket... even if the running game isn't working.

I'm also open to bring kap back but also depends on the coachcoach. Since the start of the season I said letting Harbaugh go was a mistake they would regret and this season has been just awful to watch.

What? There isn't a single QB that can carry teams consistently. QB's need HELP! Did Joe and Steve do it all by themselves or did they get help? This notion that a QB has to carry the team is nonsense.

Kap needs to be surrounded by all pros to play well

not true jreff. Come on man.

This is ridiculous. The "talent" around Kaep has always been on D. He had some talent on O but nothing special. Still has yet to have a true #1 receiver. How sad is that.

They were crap in the Superbowl and Kap balled.

They didn't show up at all in the 201 NFCCG, and regardless of the turn overs, Kap was our only player on offense who actually did anything positive.
