What was Alex's winning percentage as a 49er vs Kap's? Anybody know?

When you use words like "fanboys" the argument is lost before the thought is complete. Lots of people can like one guy without hating the other. Homer, fanboy...generally speaking, any word that refers to a group or club that doesn't exist is a nonstarter if you are trying to discuss an issue rationally. Some of my favorite posters use words they shouldn't so this is not a one sided comment.

I have used the words Alex haters at times and even that, though discriptive of some, isn't really helpful. Those discussions generally did not end well.

OMG

This is like a blast from the past.

I can't believe this s**t still goes down.
From here on out, everything should be about blaine, unless he bombs out also...which for some reason, i don't expect. Kap is where he should be, on the bench, clipboard in hand, and hopefully taking notes and learning. At least i would hope so.
I haven't kept up with this thread since it's nearly impossible to unless you literally live on here, but holy sh*t what a mess. Pretty hard to believe how sh*tty this franchise's QB situation currently is. Seems like we are back in the Tim Rattay days where everything was totally hopeless...

Now he has more time to catch up on all his social media accounts.

I'll still pay attention

Last season's expectations with a solid roster / better coaching was worse than how I feel this year. I was just hoping to go 8-8, but that's not looking any good...
Bring back Jake Druckenmiller!

If Bill Beliechek didn't discriminate against Short QBs... it would've been Tim Rattay that would've had all those SuperBowls with the Patriots.....being compared to Montana.

Rumor has it, in the 2000 draft the Patriots were torn between Brady and Tim Rattay.

According to Michael Holley's book Patriot Reign, the Patriots were considering Tom Brady and Tim Rattay, both of whom had received positive reviews from then-quarterbacks coach Dick Rehbein.

instead....Poor Tim

Why speculate without a clue, when in a very short while, we'll have a clue.

Best thing about Kaep getting bench is that maybe next year all this Kaep vs Alex, Alex vs Kaep stuff will be moot. Maybe as a fan base we can all get behind our QB instead of harbor feelings.

Here's my theory...

I think there are some that hold resentment towards Kaep for taking Alex's spot when he led the team to the NFCC and had the team rolling towards the playoffs. I feel some have wrongfully never gotten behind him because the way he lost his job was unjust, and they now never know what could've been.

I also think there are some who hold resentments towards Alex, and fail to see the whole picture that Kaep isn't getting it done. They were sick of Alex and his game manager status and wanted a star. They realize maybe this isn't the case but they have to stick up for him because they wanted that "elite" guy so bad. After years of watching mediocre Alex all they wanted was another Joe or Steve.

IMO

When it all comes down to it, both guys had their chances with the exact same team and both failed. Neither of the guys at their highest were ever statistically tops of the league. Both guys had some good runs in the playoffs but when a play needed to be made, they failed.

Funny thing is, is that both have complete opposite strengths, and complete opposite weaknesses. I think these strengths if utilized right, and a proper team can win a SB. I also think their weaknesses are to glaring for either to ever do it in their own.

Bad luck mate for being left out of the team. I'm sure you'll be rockin soon enough.
