In the years preceding the trade Smith rated 90.7 (2011) and 104.1 (2012) Kap's current numbers are 86.4 (2014) and 78.8 (2015), Kap isn't worth but a single third day pick.

Stopped reading at Alex

LOL .. Cohn. Apparently Cohn has never read one of his dips**t articles. Or talked to his dips**t son.

Anyone who says we had a very good D, let alone a dominant one, at the end of 2012 is simply regurgitating a narrative rather than speaking facts. Our defense was injured and incredibly ineffective for the last 4 or so games of the regular season and playoffs in 2012. We were not the vaunted D that we were all of 2011.

People simply cannot give Kap his just due. He is a terrible QB now, but he lit the world on fire in 2012 and was the reason we went as far as we did. I know its tough, but try not to let the current day Kap change how good he was for that stretch.
We were top 12 total defense. Our defense wasn't top 4 and we want 8-8.

Also... Is he leaking lies?

I understand that leaking this info in the first place is back stabbing, but I'm not sure it's the reason we have problems in the locker room or the field. By that I mean drama problems. Parang may have leaked that Kaep slept with Aldons ex, and Kaep is on an island but he didn't create the problem, he leaked it.

When the president of your organization is leaking negative stuff about an employee it can have a chilling affect. Not saying it is responsible for CK's play, but if it helps build animousity toward the QB throughout the team it can't be good. If it isn't coming from Jed, as in tacit approved leaks, then he should be fired immediately.

As for Kaepernick sleeping with an ex of a team mate...doesn't ex define the relationship? Might be crass but it happens often in real life. Now if he sleeps with a current wife or girl friend...that's her problem.
Maybe old school man code no longer does apply, used to be if you were interested in someone's ex you asked if it was ok. It could force someone to face a person they no longer wanted to see. How about if your best friend started dating your ex you had a messy break up with and he starts bringing her to your football watching parties. That isn't cool unless he asked you. I could not imagine any male on the planet having more dating options than an NFL QB and he has to hook up with a teammate's ex?

Read the article about the interview with Ault. That guy knows Kap and is saying this isn't all him. Says that if Kap gets another chance, watch out. Cause he is going to come out firing. Maybe we will see that. Maybe not.

I hope if we drop him that he goes to a contender and wins the Super Bowl as the ultimate f**k you to York and baalke.

F all the bickering he's goneeeeeee. Everything's ok. We can finally start drafting some promising qbs that give a sh*t about mechanics.

We were not anywhere close to a top 12 total defense towards the end of 2012. We were giving up damn near 30 points a game once our pass rush was injured.

Huge difference that you are clearly missing. I guarantee you that there are coaches in the NFL that think Colin has not only NOT reached his ceiling, but that they are good enough coaches to get him there. Alex on the other hand, was thought to have reached his.

Not saying you are wrong that Kap isn't worth more than a 3rd, just pointing out the huge difference in your comparison.

I just don't see how you can bring him back next season. 49ers need the best available QB in the draft that can/will replace Kap. I admit he has played horrible this year, but that's only a small reason why I think the 49ers should move on.

He did that when he helped us to a couple championship games and a Super Bowl appearance too.

Nobody cared until the team started to suck. It didn't matter then and it doesn't matter now.

I'm sure Bowman is doing dumb s**t that annoys people too -- doesn't mean it's relevant.

It's not that he's wearing the head phones is what bothering people, I think they mean he's wearing the head phones not giving a s**t or listening to other people. EVERY player wears headphones that we know of, but the reason behind it is what matters.

He isn't gone. He is just the backup for now. No way Gabbert lasts 8 games. Mark my words, Kap will get one more shot this year to prove he can do it. 2, 3, 4 games from now. Kap will be back under center.

Why not bench him for half a game? Why not bench anyone for half a game? That is an entirely serious question.

This isn't college football. You have to game plan for your starter. So they are going to give Gabbert a shot. Now if Gabbert goes on to win 6 in a row then Kap won't get back in there. But does anyone think Gabbert is going to do anything? If Gabbert performs the same or worse than Kap you think they just gonna roll with him for the rest of the season? No. They will throw Kap back out there and see what happens.

LOL Kap will let Gabbert take the heat for the Seahawks and Cardinals game. Then will look like a hero vs. the Bears and Browns.
