I definitely see them drafting a G and another T before the draft is over. They need the depth.

imagine trading up for hernandez or daniels
people would be frustrated at the lack of defense but remember when we all complained about the goddamn pressure in the middle? give jimmy time and he will find our receivers. give our rbs holes and shanahan can make any rb look good. A defenses best friend is rest. The longer the offense stays on the field, the better the defense can perform.

I would go crazy if we got Daniels in the 2nd.

Three former first round picks competing for spots and we finally have a competent center that can reach block. Tackles on both sides that can move in space. A qb that gets the ball out. I expect this unit to be one of the best in the league.

It certainly has upside.
I think the team did a great job upgrading the biggest need heading into the offseason. Let's hope our 3 first round guards can yield 2 starters.

smh Shanny short changing the guard position again. When we play the Rams and have to go up against Suh and Donald, here's our available options. Hey at least we have depth on both sides of the ball when going into 7 on 7 tourneys.
- Garnett. I'm most excited to see him but he is coming off of IR. He looks like he slimmed down a lot, but did he lose any strength with the weight cut? He's option #1 so we'll get to see.
- Cooper. Not to high on the guy at all. He was Chilo Rachal here in AZ, couldn't even stay on a horrible Browns roster, and is only on a 1 year contract. He's not the highly touted prospect from the draft since he broke his fibula. Look past the draft position and see what he's done since.
- Tomlinson. With all the talk about scheme fit, last year this guy is like wearing hats for shoes. Slow af and a reason why JG got hit even while getting rid of the ball quickly. Did this guy come in such great shape to the mini-camp? Did that lead to completely disregarding the guards spot in the whole draft?
- Magnuson. He looked decent in preseason and never really got a shot to play the guard position after. I like him by default over Cooper and Tomlinson.

Ideally Garnett comes in, much more agile and mobile, kills it and locks up the left guard spot.

Yeah, not getting one of the top interior OL was a total bummer this year...deep draft for scheme-fits and we badly missed out.

A bummer but Garnett has promise and I think he locks up the RG spot. Then Cooper and Tomlinson battle it out for LG. Not great but not awful either

And these guys have had a year to learn the system, get their bodies in shape and get in sync with each other. A long way from Boone, Devey and M Martin (2015)!
