Harbaugh is all about shortening the game and limiting turnovers and it worked. Chip has a lot of flash but expect a lot of turnovers and a worn down defense.

What happened in harbs offense when they disnt score early and make FGs with no TDs? He has no plan when SF fell behind there was never any in game adjustments...need to be able to adapt to every game. I hope bringing in modkins also helps chip adapt with using some power run to eat up the clock when we need to.

Let's hope chip has learned from his experience in philly, the worst case scenario is that he hasn't learned a da*m thing

Yep, the article says the Saints were the most recent team showing interest in Anquan.

Yeah, I'm surprised some missed that article cause it was up on our headlines / NFL site for a few days.

I really don't think he'd choose them over us (if FO really wanted him back)... I thought he mentioned he wanted to sign with a team that had a chance at going deep into the playoffs. We might suck, but I don't think the Saints are gonna do much better TBH.

This is an interesting choice for us, IF, IF, Anquan decides to return here. Then the question becomes do we want him to mentor the younger WRs or do we want him as a top notch playmaker. His career is closer to the end than the beginning, and in NFL, as all know, that is a very short time. So if he starts, then he takes away one of the other WRs yr of training for NFL yr. I am ambivalent about this, but would not be if this were a slam dunk "run-for-the-SB-yr". Since this is THE transition yr, would it be better to have a wizened graybeard in the locker room and on the field, or would it be better to have him here more as a mentor? Tough choice, in that Anquan has always been one of my favorite players, especially when he played for the Ravens. Honestly, I don't know the answer, but have a suspicion chip will go with giving one other WR a yr of NFL training, up close and personal...rather than depending on Anquan. I guess one could make the contrary argument that with Anquan in , it gives our QB a better chance to get confidence in his passing, in that we know he catches anything within his radius....and that is a big, high, and wide radius.

Well put. But I bet Chip stays with the youngsters at this point. If he was not pretty sure of his plan he could have had Anquan locked up, in shape, and coming into camp next week. Just my take.

Before somebody whines about "in shape, Anquan is certainly going to be prepared, but "Chip shape " may be different.

Got a laugh out of me for "in shape" vs "chip shape". There IS a huge divide.

I have no problem with Garnett and beadles flipping spots on RG/LG....I'm just assuming based on OTAs that beadles will be on the left side and because that's where he's been his whole career.

Yeah that seems to be the popular thinking. But being a contrary is my azure. I was just think having the rookie next to Staley, and Beadles next to whoever ends up at RT might be a better idea. There's merit to Doug what everyone thinks of course, Beadles always playing on the left, but that means a rookie and a suspect RT on the same side.

Yup guess we got to trust the OL coach Garnett might be better than beadles who knows lol...I'm a fan of our OG squad though.
