Replace Brendel and get a real swing OT and the OL looks a lot better.

I'm glad I was working today because I am so disappointed in this draft I know and I believe that we are not getting close to a Super Bowl this season. Once again, the Niners neglect the offensive line we only have two starters worth a s**t. I am really disappointed. It's actually sickening and I no longer have faith in John and Kyle. They're the only coaches they don't care about the offensive line.

Just read giants are not picking up Evan Neal 5th yr option, I don't watch the giants so my question is, has be been that bad and big of a bust ? Is he worth trading for ?

Do you think that's gonna be the answer? What about left guard we don't have one and I'm gonna say the same thing I said about Colton. If he was better than mcflinchy , he would've started over mcflinchy. We just lost Becks so on what planet is Barch better than banks are offensive line is worse than it was last season and we did nothing to get better. We have two starters that are worth anything. Everybody else has the potential to be average at best. Once again, I am disgusted with their neglect for the offensive line. They will never make it a priority. But 31 other coaches in the NFL will.

Brendel must improve his pass protection. He grades above average in run blocking.
From a video clip that was posted a couple of days ago, it looks like he is doing the work.
In any case, we need to improve there.
FWIW, he is ranked 17 out of 40 Centers by PFF.

They need to go sign Jedrick Wills once the comp deadline is over Monday.
This. I dont think people get the state of OL around the league. The Chiefs have drafted 7 OL in the last four years and still gave Jaylon Moore the contract they did. With that said, I wish they tried at IOL on day 3. The only problem is, I really liked their approach the first five rounds. If they can address redzone and separation issues on offense (and those were our biggest issues on offense), we should win 10-12, assuming the defensive picks pan out.

Absolutely not. Zero scheme fit.

Seems like there could be some plan to bring in more [real competition] and/or a solid veteran(s)... Kyle and John can't be this dense?

I ask people wait to freak out til Tuesday.
We may have some stuff lined up on Monday that won't have us lose comp picks.

So do You think that Colton is good right tackle do you think Brenda is a good center and do you think Barch is the answer at left guard? Because we have Trent Williams. And puni! That's it and Trent Williams if I were him, I'm going to the off-season and if it doesn't look like we're winning a Super Bowl I'm retiring so I have no faith that he's gonna stick around if there's nothing to play for. So we have no answer for when he's gone They are not preparing for that which again signals that John Lynch and Kyle could care less about the offensive line every year, they prove it over and over again. There were starters in the third round that fell right into our lap

Ben Bartch only played 65 snaps last season but he graded very well. He will likely earn the start over Zakelj at LG. McKivitz is serviceable at RT...he improved last season over the previous year.
Center is the biggest need and there are some guys on the roster that will fight for it.
The state of OL play in the NFL is just not good.

I wanted them to draft significantly for the o-line as well. Yet, I'm thrilled with their efforts to bolster the defense. I disagree with your take that they have "neglected" the offensive line. Will you change your view if we get to--or get close to--the Super Bowl this season?
