not Bad!
I'd be all in taking Trey Lance at #12 and perhaps. I feel he could turn into the best QB of this draft class falling to the better situtation.
Teven Jenkins in round 2. He looks like Quenton Nelson playing OT his film is insane and trade MM to the Raiders. Nothing against Mike, I just feel he still has value and will be difficult to pay him 10m of his 5th year option or pay him an extension.
Like JohnnyDel and Heroism and others have stated...Kyle wants his QB free if this so it's on the C.

The 49ers coach used his familiarity with Mack to bring the veteran center back to California, knowing how it could positively affect his offense. The 35-year-old's experience in identifying defensive fronts and communicating on the field will only help take pressure off of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

"It's an advantage for the quarterback," Mack said Thursday. "The quarterback doesn't have to worry as much about some of the stuff, he can trust the center. The better the center can direct traffic, the better the offense can run."

TW was the key signing while Mack was a "layup" because it just made too much sense.
we can get a nice young guard in the draft and that would complete the trifecta

What I'm hoping for!

long gone are the days when posts like... is the offensive line that bad?? pop up. finally fans have realized it is. and now with the actions here this week., kyle and lynch finally see it to. oh. cc forgot to say. what about those who said.. well quarterback sacks are not bad. will never get over that. and all quarterbacks in the nfl get hit

Tomlinson, Brunskill & McGlinchey will account for at least 100 QB hits a year. We still have work to do but adding Mack is a quality start.
Any good Guard prospects for the 2nd round? I hope we go Skill position then OL

Tomlinson has been decent as of late. Garland was screwing up everything last year. Glad we have Mack

We can land a viable starter at og in Mid rounds of the draft. I hope we do.

Yeah, I think they continue to learn. I still remember Saleh saying sacks are overrated and then they hire Kocurek who is all about sacks, and now the OLine.
I don't think they've really neglected the OLIne, I think -- rather -- they focused on getting the skill players like RB in developing Mostert, getting Aiyuk/Deebo, edge rusher. OLine was a second thought versus a priority. Now that WR, Edge, LB has some solid talent -- and the injuries to Jimmy -- they are now focusing on the OLine, and getting good results. We shall see how it all holds up in 2021, but I'm excited to see how we do in the draft and then what the regular season holds.

I know what you (and I) would have preferred but we are a better OL today than we were in January and that's a plus. Draft better be lit for the OL. You don't have to turn Deebo into a defacto running back if Jimmy has enough Jimmy time to throw the football = a less injured Samuel.

I'm looking for them to fire Foerster if he can't get McGlinchy up to speed on the pass protection and Hiring Staley as assistant OLine coach next year.
Quite a few teams will need a center.
Seattle, ATL, NYG and GB just to name a few. We might need to trade up in the 2nd.

Oh and I'm rooting for McKivitz at RG!

Every time I'd talk about this, I'd get called biased and. Jimmy homer.

Naturally. You recognize things for what they are (pass protection issues, style/skill set of OL brought in, classic drop back QB's to optimize progression reads per play design, etc.).
