With or without previous staff

I am still reading comments associating the team's current roster with the firing of the previous staff and the "stupidity" of the front office. But after freaking out last night about Borland, I don't see how today would be any different with the previous staff. We still would have let Gore go, we still would have let Crabtree go, and we still would have cut or not signed the rest of the players. And I'm pretty sure Willis and Borland would have still retired. It is ridiculous to assert that a 24-year old first year player would retire so he wouldn't have to play for a coaching staff.

Would fans and media be more confident in this team if the previous staff was still here? I almost think there would be more drama, with people blaming harbaugh and saying all the reports were right, players are tired of him.

I do believe the media killed our season and eventually led to Harbs demise. Its sad.

With or without the previous staff....this team was still going downhill regardless. Window closed, losing talent, rest of the division getting better, etc. Verb is right - Harbaugh left at the right time and he's a smart man for doing so.

With the new staff of Tomsula, Magnini, Chryst, and the like...I can legitimately see a case being made of the Niners picking in the top 5 next year with everything else considered.
