2014 Draft

I agree balke is a top 3 drafting gm. I would say Ozzie newsome, balke and then a pretty decent gap. Then Seattle if they can magically start drafting decent to good TE, G, WR, RB, DL.

This draft will be tops in the league or at least top 3. So many good players between Borland Hyde lynch that alone is a successful draft.
The genius about Baalke is that he's a step ahead of everyone else. He knew that there's going to be a need at corner in 2015, so he drafts 4 defensive backs in the 2014 draft. And even though I questioned the Hyde and M. Martin pick, those players will play big roles in 2015. I know that he gets alot of flack for the 2012 draft, but I still say that he's a top 5 GM.(i'm starting to believe that our 2013 draft is looking pretty bleak as well)
I don't know how one can say much about baalke's drafts, with 8 guys who will start this yr, and another 6 who probably will make the team in supporting roles. Maybe a couple bust out, but no matter how you slice that draft, he was superb. Honestly, with the AJ draft, I think baalke got a bit too cute. He learned his lesson tho, based on the most recent. When was the last time somebody drafted 8 starters on a stacked team. Or, in other words, despite the fact we had talent that harstoopid didn't use, baalke also drafted for this yr with an eye on missing our all pro LB and all pro DT. That guys, is an OUTSTANDING draft. True, several of these guys got to earn it, but it sure looks like it will play out like cooper said.

I'm telling you right now we're all going to look back at this draft in 3 years and see one of the best drafts, top to bottom, in recent niners memory

lol, just because you're starting doesn't make you a great pick. if you're a GREAT starter, then that's a great pick. It's not like Chilo Rachal was a great pick just because he became a starter

most starters for teams are their draft picks. Great teams, lousy teams, whatever. Again, playing doesn't make you a great pick, playing well does.

What about his "A+" 2013 Draft?

1. Eric Reid good but might retire
2. Tank jury still way out on him
2. McDonald not as explosive or good as his draft spot
3. Lemonier one trick pony flop so far
4. Patton needs a chance i like this dude
4. Lattimore I liked the pick but I was wrong too

The rest are meh so far. This is and was the Draft that was supposed to put us over the top of Seattle but it hasn't so far 2 years LATER.

As far 2014 WHAT TH F was he thinking with Ward?? Should took Roby CB instead or traded way down and still gotten Ward duh.

Probably correct, we don't know if Ward will start or not.
Hyde is starting because Gore wanted more money. It was going to happen at some point...but if Gore said yes to a low offer, he would still start.
Kilgore will probably be starting at C.
Borland is starting because Willis retired.
Correct on Thomas.
Correct on Bruce.
Probably correct on Johnson.
Lynch will probably rotate if we keep Brooks.
Correct on Reaser.
Correct on Acker.
Correct on Ramsey.
If Miller is in jail or suspended Millard might get the nod.
Correct on the UDFA's.
Woo hoo! Another Baalke thread!

Possibly in all of NFL history
This draft will be on par with 2010/2011 draft class when it is all said and done. Actually a little better when you consider the depth. Will we have the same amount of all pro players? Probably not, but it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo deep.
