Damn. In thinking about CK, I notice that Steve takes almost all his snaps from under center and the designs are to get the ball out very quickly. BUT if that slant (as an example) isn't there instantly, Steve backs up in his drops, resets and survey's the field and either passes or takes off. How perfect would this be for CK. Not so simple for Kap. He instantly panics when 1st read (pre-determined receiver) not open.
but you can look at his highlights and see that he can hit multiple reads

This season particularly is why I have a very high opinion of marty morringwheg. This was the last offense I absolutely loved.

The real weakness of the 1998 team was the CB position. Antonio langham was a big bust. The offense carried that squad all season long.

Got surpassed by Owens once Rice left and had one final season (2003) split with Jacksonville and New England. 1998 was his best year.
He was judged fairly harshly out of the gate because of his draft slot and because he was expected to replace Rice, which, honestly, who can live up to that pressure? He was a good mid-level WR, one tier below a John Taylor type.
