And Iupati and Boone aren't the Top OGs that every thinks they are. Our best OL was Kilgore in 2014, and it hurt when he went down.

The OL has had its issues but it has not been as bad as it was this past season in quite awhile. The injuries, the shuffling of lineups, Boone's struggles early on, those were all major issues. Both Staley and Davis are good players, the biggest issue the way I see it has been the lack of pass blocking coming from the left guard spot. Iupati is a mediocre pass blocker at best, he hasn't improved much if at all since his rookie season, as much as he's an All Pro run-blocker, his weaknesses in pass-blocking game are glaring and a good reason for the 49ers to look to someone else that can provide a much happier medium and more balanced blocking.

The funny thing is, Kap has proven he really only needs average pass blocking to be effective. At their best the line was average and he tore up the league.
That's a really low bar and they couldn't get it together consistently average due to injuries and bad play last season. If he gets real time then really there's no way to stop this offense with its weapons going forward regardless of what we run.

i like how they say kap doesn't seem to know where his pocket is like the guard doesn't get beat before he even finishes his drop and the rest of the line crumbles as well.

lol so you say can't blame the o-line then proceed to tear it apart.
kap didn't regress the entire offense regressed. the scheme was figured out. it was coaching and injuries that did this offense in period.

Keap has about 15 to 20 percent to do with his regression... BECAUSE HE'S A HUMAN BEING. the other 80 can be split evenly between HaRoman and the tissue paper used to protect the QB.

Can anyone explain to me the advantage to the snap count when you allow the clock to roll down to 2 1/2 seconds???
