I commend you for being able to rewatch that game....I have yet to muster up the strength to do it.

I always thought our OL was a little overated. Especially in terms of pass blocking. Just the thought of that game still pisses me off.

So when the QB has time to throw he's great.....

Unfortunately, when in the playoffs, and the Superbowl, the opposing D tends to be pretty good. You have to be able to function within the chaos.
Can never re-watch that game ever.
I've watched the game many times and turn it off as soon as the incomplete pass comes up on 4th down. It's much less painful.
It was actually quite the game. I've watched it again a couple times but its still frustrating how close we came.

Also, no more superbowls should be played in the SuperDome. Compared to Arizona, the field and lighting (HA!) looked just putrid.
Coaching and injuries to the Smiths is why we lost that game.
The :54 second, 2 timeout series before halftime with goal to go made me feel ok with the entire overhaul. Down 21 - 3 with the defense on its heels, those 3 plays are a complete microcosm of the problem. It looked like WE had the 21-3 lead. And
From that game to today not much has changed the o line is still garbage and Kaep still looks good when given time and horrible when not.
Guys I mean our CURRENT 49ers offense the 2014 Offense stunk because the OLINE REGRESSED Drastically. Kilgore wasn't great before getting hurt. Marcus Martin was a rookie weak link, Boone was a hold out that played like crap when he came back. Staley had a bad year and AD was hurt most year and Jmart is awful.
I believe superbowl 47 would have been a different game if Delanie Walker had played in it. Walker and Davis opened up a lot of underneath stuff for Michael Crabtree that season. Having two burners at the TE position was like nothing ever seen before. But yeah, when the O line is on it's game, the rest of the offense seems to fall into place.
Agree the play of our o-line has dropped off. I think we can make everyone's job easier with more speed and versatility on the field. The o-line was fantastic in 2012, but we also had very good speed (Davis, Moss, Ginn), versatility (Walker, Miller), and possession receiving (Crabtree, Manningham). We wad mismatches all over the field, being able to run and throw equally well from 2 TE sets. Defenses couldn't focus on any one area. We lost that element the past 2 seasons.

I couldn't do that to myself again, I love myself too much to do that.

I watched some of the replay. Two timeouts wasted in the second half because of issues getting the play in fast enough. Story of Harbaugh's tenure.
