1992 would have been more probable than 1990. 1990 would have been a tough ask but steve had started enough by 1990 to win that type of game. In 1992, I fully expected to beat buffalo in the rematch of the week 2 loss. In that game we had almost 600 yards despite lossing Jerry at the end of the first quarter. It wouldn't have mattered that cofer was still our kicker. We might not have beat them 52-17 like dallas, but I think we would have got them like 35-20 or something like that.
It would have been very intriguing seeing the WC offense that helped the niners win 4 superbowls in the 80s vs the No huddle offense that lead the Bills to 4 straight super bowls in the early 90s.

Spot on analysis imo. Especially in regards to the 92 team, I think they could have beaten the Bills on the big stage, but not the way the Cowboys demolished them.
