Really? I didn't. Coaches typically refuse to get into that. They're notoriously difficult in that regard. It's always generalizations.

Most coaches give that during there first press conference. You think if Adam Gase was hired we wouldnt have a clear idea of what kind of offense he would be running.

Like Harbaugh when he announced he was bringing the west coast offense back to the 49ers. lol

And didn't actually run the WCO lol. Sure, we used the terminology, but the philosophy was anything but. I don't care what's said in the press conference. It's all generic answers.
The press conference was a little rough, but he'll get better with experience.

One thing he said that I liked was after he was asked about a Super Bowl prediction, saying "The difference between confidence and arrogance is ignorance."

I think this whole situation will be determined by what kind of OC he selects.

The fans were the dummies that bought into the whole "we found some old Bill Walsh videos and playbooks, and were going to implement his stuff" though. That was all propaganda.

This is actually a really good interview.

I thought so as well.

He didn't get too deep into his philosophies even though Tolbert was prodding him. I laughed when Jim was referencing setting picks and shooting 3's.

He never said that. They asked him if he was going to watch the old Bill Walsh tapes and he said he would.

Haha I did too. The 49ers could learn a thing or two from the Warriors right now!

Tomsula is on KNBR.

He sounds a million times better in this interview than the press conference earlier.

sounds better but still is ignoring the questions. Singletary sounded good but never said anything.

gotta watch the film

I would take Steve Kerr as our head coach at this point.
I'm choosing to think positive. I don't care if he can talk at a podium. If the players listen to him and do what he tells them to do (and he is telling them the correct things to do) then I don't care if I never hear him speak again.

Maybe because he wasn't being flanked by Jed and Trent. lol

I wonder how he'll handle the pressure of a game?

Tomsula is a humble guy. He realizes small things like not picking up after oneself as a man, and a professional, are simply unacceptable. Its all about accountability.

If my field rep leaves a mess on a clients sales floor it reflects poorly on my field rep, and as a result reflects poorly on me. I also know from experience that reps that are messy on the job, typically have 100X messier personal lives.

Its about Professionalism and accountability. These are grown men, and they aren't in their moms living room. Pick up the f**king shoes.

Make fun all you want, but i can guarantee this is how Tomsula looks at the world.

The pick up your shoes was all about the yorks being embarrassed by off field issues. A lot of this hire was about those issues. They fear bad press far more than loosing. That whole notion is BS though. Aaron Hernandez most likely being a murderer has nothing to do with owners of the New England Patriots. People need to grow up and that includes the Yorks.

Damn man let him go. No amount of complaining or reminiscing is going to bring him back. Time to move on.

Same way he has in the past. Doing an awkward press conference where you can't name potential coordinators, and your GM is butting in when there is no need for it is an entirely different situation. I'm sure he'll do much more relaxed press conferences in future too, but I really don't care. Results from September - February are only thing that matters.
