Seeing as he does not have an agent, I'm sure that more than fair amount was exactly what Trent offered initially. Not a cheap move. Gase would have been crazy to expect much more than that. $4MM tops, but he probably would have made $3.5MM wherever he landed, if he had gotten one of the HC jobs.
This.
The cheapskate narrative needs to die. This was not about money.

Are any other Season ticket holders thinking of selling? I live in San Francisco and was really disappointed by the football experience at the new stadium. Now with us looking like a cheap NBC comedy, I simply can't see paying all that money. I'm serious -- What are other season ticket holders thinking?

getting ready for Jeep to get OC job later this week.
If he is get's the job, I'm through with paying anymore attention to the news on this team for this year..I'll just treat this upcoming season as if the 49ers were suspended by the NFL for incompetence. .Have to wait for 2016.
it takes a village of Jeeps
All aboard!

I understand taking your time with the coordinators but what is taking so long on the coaching staff?
We've added a oline coach and that's it? I still say we should have made a run at Aaron kromer as it relates to that. I really hope we aren't all disappointed a century from now when this staff takes shape. The latest reports aren't being kind to us right now.

Just watch the video with York being interviewed on 49ers.com and He bring up the Patriots promoting from within. So Chryst may be the OC if they cannot lure anybody else. His Brother Paul is the head coach in Wisconsin.
When Alex Smith threw that winning TD to Vernon against he Saints in the play offs, I believe that Harbaugh credited Geep for that play or the play calling from that drive.

No.
Baalke has clearly no plan what he is doing.
Trent Baalke
It isn't always getting the best. It's getting the best that can work together. That's the goal. That's the objective. Finding 17 people, 18 people, whatever that number is, that can really come together and get it done.
when our team has looked for rookies and free agents that has always been the goal with this regime,, why should the coaching search be any different.? to have a different philosophy when it comes to finding the right players and finding coaches is not logical. how many posts have we had to endure in the first few hours of free agency that shrill OMG WHY ARE'NT DOING ANYTHING. same thing with the coaching hires, keep it in house, find the people who work the best together. you do your homework, research and take your time
Exactly.
thank you, people like you and i are in an unholy land right now

Nice pillow talk going on here

The guy that was OC once and NFL teams decided he should pretty much never be an OC in the NFL again. Sounds like a York guy. Classy, polite and lacking options.

I'm 100% sure York is not a cheapskate. He has more $$ than god (well, almost). He wants to win. He's simply young and inexperienced and he has 100% power -- No board, no oversight. This kind of stuff happens all the time in private companies owned by one person. When that one person is strong (Eddie) they do well, when they are weak (John York) they are mostly bad. Same think with Jed .. He wants to win, he's just young and inexperienced -- He falls in love with people not experience.
