The issues in the stadium right now stem from it being new and people want to get in there and see everything the new site has to offer...and that's particularly true of the club seats .If I dropped that kind of money I'd sure as hell want to check out the clubs. Over time tho everyone will have seen everything. Peeps who shouldn't have gotten tix to begin with will lose them or sell them. This was all to be expected.

I have never been drunk or even buzzed at a 49er game but I have always been loud as f**k.

As a matter of fact, I have never drank any sort of alcohol at a 49er game…just sort of high one time lol. Was at the Saints-49ers playoff game and had a BLAST- atmosphere was electric.

But please don't be offended by the 'rich people coming to the games' comment. I did not intend to isolate a certain demographic, just wanted to suggest that fact that HIGHER ticket prices are pushing out a pretty large group of diehard fans who can no longer afford the games.

The point wasn't that every rich fan who comes to the game is a quiet lame-o. Just that we are now getting a different class of people at the games, not quite like what we were getting at Candlestick.

And I can say all this from primary experience, since I worked at 7 out of 8 home games this season.

I think that's a big oversimplification.

Yes, there are a lot of "noisemakers" that can't afford to get in the new building, but the bathroom incident notwithstanding, it is a SAFER experience now than it was at the 'stick. I wouldn't take my 8 or 4 year old kids to game before. Now I'm more likely to.

One thing that is true here...there are ALOT of first time season ticket holders at Levis who simply haven't learned the drill. It just takes time.

Once everyone has seen all the cool new stuff (and that included people who buy tix from Season Ticket Holders) this will all change.

Case in point, I have a friend who is a RAIDER fan. He asked if he could buy some of my tix simply because he wanted to see the new building. I didn't sell them to him BTW. After a few years, the newness of the whole thing will wear off and more people will be ther to watch games and not just check out the new toy in the bay area.

I have another friend who couldn't give 2 sh*ts about football, but SHE asked about my tix.

This will all work itself out in the end when people who never should have gotten tix sell theirs and more dedicated fans buy them and when all the shiny new toys aren't as shiny anymore.

Meanwhile, we don't need home field advantage. Seattle only plays good at home because the air smells cleaner in the Northwest. Sure the stadium opens a few hours before the game starts but the fun is being in a club during the game even though you pay for a live game. We need to earn the right to be laughingstocks.

I guess we support the Niners. Yup, sure do. I can see that from my bank account. But, on Sunday, we have ONE JOB. As a whole, we FAIL

At least this was true while they were in Candlestick park. I know for a fact that a lot of corporations give away lots of football, baseball & basketball tickets to their clients.

I worked for a company that not only had private boxes in the mezzanine but had lots of give away tickets to their clients. Companies can buy a bunch of tickets and write them off as business expenses. It's a win win situation for them.

The second problem is that there are two football teams in town whereas Seattle, KC and other areas have only one, so they would have more local people to attend their games.

Third but not least is the weather in California is such that there are many other things to do than go to a football game. Where do you go in Seattle or Kansas City when the temperatures are down to 40's or below?

I get your first paragraph. Except for the last sentence. Are you seriously telling me all the other 31 teams in those big cities don't have corporations buying tickets and giving them away?? That would be a stretch and nothing but an excuse

KC population and surrounding areas: 2 million
SF Bay Area population: 7 million
So much for that theory.

The last one is so laughable is disgusting. That's such a talking point yet it holds no water. So where is it that these people are flocking to by the thousands that is not available in cold weather places like Seattle and KC? OK the beach but this aint SD. It's SF, the beach is just for show. Can't believe you're telling me that 1% the population has soooooooo many places to go that they just can't choose. Please just tell me one or two places that they're going to.

This summer I loved Kapaa. Loved the wall in Poipu to watch the sunset. Loved the chickens. But your dead wrong on this one.

This rant is about the Noise level of the home crowd at the stadium. It was sub par, it was embarrassing. You know it and I know it. THE 49ERS front office and the players on the field know it. Instead of complaining about it, I've decided to put on my marketing hat in attempts to help the team solve the issue.

I sit in section 109. My fellow fans in that section must dislike me. I am constantly turning around in attempts to get fans involved in the game from a noise perspective. I chastise fans for being too " wine and cheese". Right around the 3rd game, I took my 20 oz. empty soda cup, I took my car key and I carved the bottom part of the cup out. For the rest of the game, I used that as a sound cone to yell through. Fast forward to the Charger game. I took a look around during the 2nd quarter and noticed 7 people in my section "borrowed" my sound cone idea. My son is the one that pointed it out. He said, " dad, they stole your idea ". The lightbulb went off.....

My idea is for the 49ers to sell a cup with a bit more of a cone shape than the existing cup. The bottom should be perforated, with two little pop out handles on it.
( Like coffee cup handles ) . On the side of the cup on both sides in big letters, it should read, "NINER NOISE". This way, when the sound video personnel need more noise, then can illustrate someone on the large video screen yelling through the cone. And they can call out for NINER NOISE to urge the crowd on.

Too many benefits to list.
1. Gets the crowd more involved in having fun and supporting the team.
2. Helps sell more soda. ( Jed will love this )
3.Could potentially be free if they allow a corporate sponsor added to the Noise cone.

First off, dont be that guy that turns around and berates the people around him for not screaming. If people want to make noise, they will. You giving them crap isnt going to make them want to join in. Its just going to make their experience at the game more crappy. They'll go home and say "That was fun, but that a-hole in front of us that kept screaming at people kind of ruined it."

Second, the first couple seasons of every new stadium is always underwhelming. In order to finance the new place, the team has to charge insane amounts for the PSL's and tickets. So, in order to pay for that, most ticket holders sell off their seats for premiums on the internet for a while to make their money back.

The 49ers also have to find a way to cut down on the glare and the heat retention during the day games in the early months. Not sure how they could do that, but it does affect the people in the glaring sun for 3 hours.

Once we work out the kinks, and the seats become more affordable, you will see Niner fans filling out the stadium like they used to. Right now is a bad time to react to the lack of noise at the stadium.

Jed York better have something up his sleeve though, because if this team slides backwards after dumping Harbaugh, that pic of the half empty stadium is going to look like a sellout in comparison. Its really hard to pay off your new stadium when you fire the fan favorite, highly successful head coach. In a way you could argue that York should offer season ticket holders refunds after luring them into the new stadium PSL's with Harbaugh, and then cutting him loose.

What if no one screams at anyone but those people are just explained how to make noise? Politely. And then go back to yelling..on defense not AT anybody. I think that might be ok in certain situations.

Yea, the sun sucks in the beginning of the season. I'm right in the middle of the sun's wrath. Hats help. How does the rest of the country deal with it? Cali ain't the only hot place in Aug & Sep. It's not an impossibility, is it? You just have to prepare. You wouldn't go to Lambeau in January without a coat would you?

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they say something about adding more seats for the SB next year? Maybe they can make them permanent and/or add things to block the sun. At least for some people

If you all don't want the 'rich' being labeled as 'fake fans', then don't label 'rowdy fans' as 'trouble makers' or the type to scare away your toddler.

I just want there to be a football game atmosphere at my team's stadium…. Not to feel as if I am at some giant shopping mall, airport, theme park thing.
