From having Harbaugh. One of the best coaches in the NFL. To all this pure BS

Gase couldn't sniff harbaugh's jock with a 20 foot pole.

And it's either him or Tomsula. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Ed Werder ‏@Edwerderespn

#Cowboys OC Bill Callahan will pursue other possibilities so unlikely to re-sign with Dallas during exclusivity period.

Harbaugh was, at best, about the #8 or #9 coach in the NFL. He was good, but a long way from great. He was a public relations nightmare in addition to being stuck in a college time machine vintage 1975.

Harbaugh was very good but not one of the best. If he was one of the best coaches in the NFL our passing game wouldn't have been in neutral before going in reverse this past season. If he was one of the best, they would get the damn play in on time. If he was one of the best he wouldn't be burning timeouts like weed at a reggae concert.
All of you bringing up the way Gase looks or his age as indicators that he won't get respect in our locker room...

The guy just coached a HoF QB who is older then him... and loved him as a coach.
We also have a locker room with players like Willis, Bowman, and Boldin who aren't a bunch of immature punks. They'll get on board if the guy help them win. Bottom line.

I'll cry if its gase if fangio leaves.

I'll laugh if its Tomsula and Fangio stayz. The thought of tomsul head coaching is pure comedy.

Again. One of the best. I didn't say he was Bill Walsh or anything. Harbaugh was still young and could have learned even more. He just had four years in the NFL. He had the highest winning percentage of any coach right now. You guys know why the Steelers are the best NFL team that has more Superbowls than us? Because they don't fire their head coach randomly and are patient with them. We are stuck playing musical chairs with candidates that don't come close to Harbaugh.

Of course he can't. A pole has no olfactory sensors.

Hey Tomsula....we have spent lots of time, energy, and money interviewing former HCs and some of the more popular current coordinators in the NFL for the HC of the 49ers. We are not going to interview or spend that much time or energy with you, and yes we know you are currently just a position coach. But we think you are a viable candidate because Matt Maiocco says so.

Totally agree! That phrase "old, veteran team." One, that's a fallacy but two, those older veterans who are still here are professionals. They know where the real issues are. Hell, they've been telling us for years (i.e. HaRoman). If Baalke brings in a guy who can IMPROVE that area, how stoked would these veterans be?

If the pole is hollow.

Finally! Kap will need to learn to throw from his ear eventually. Gase likes to get the ball out fast. Glad Hyde has good hands. He could be a beast in Gase's offense.

I wanted 2 things from our new coach....

Adaptability and this!
