I say forget about reviews and just relax the rules. No more roughing penalties unless it's a clear headshot.

Penalizing shots to the chest is utterly ridiculous. Where the f**k can you hit the QB? Not high, low, or middle. Do they not realize that defender's heads are attached to their bodies, and they have to lower their head to make a tackle?

This is f**king ridiculous. Imbeciles run this league. They still make money because fans love what this sport used to be and can't walk away. Sad state of affairs..

In the age of technology , why even have the refs on the field ? Have 11 or 22 off field officials with cameras on each player . Have one or two officials on the field for explanations from the sidelines and to spot the ball. Take the chance of human error out of the game .

The game would take 5 hrs. There is a penalty on every play and a camera on every player would catch them all. What do you do then

That would work ....

Perhaps the worst call I have seen all season. The amount of penalties in this game was stupid. Not the reason the Niners lost but that was just terrible.

Worse than the Brooks-Brees call.

I hear ya. I was just starting conversation. I heard someone mention that they should have full time refs as part of the NFL. I agree. It's not like the NFL can't afford it. Then when refs screw up so blatantly you fine and/or suspend them. If that is the case refs would think twice before letting the flags fly. The refs have so much power over a game. They could determine a winner and loser outright.

Why I said personal foul calls should have to be proven by video. Those fouls cost players money and teams yards. Go to the video and prove it or pick up the flag. Make sure players have earned the foul called. It is only fair and personal fouls only occur a couple times in any game anyway. Won't slow the game to a snails pace

Pereira suggested that just the personal foul and PI calls be reviewed, and that not all officials, but at least the head officials should be full time employees of the league. This is the best way to approach the change, but it is definitely a change that needs to happen. Without holding the officials accountable, it is not too far off to believe that there may be a Tim Donaghy situation happening. I'm not saying it is, but the longer that these obviously blown calls go without the ability to review or challenge, the more it looks like the league is covering up the "incompetence" of their officials.
