Yup.
I've been saying for a while that the FO should have given Kap a mentor.
We all know he needs a QUALITY QB coach but I'm also talking about a mentor who can help him w/the sharks in the media.
He's going through some VERY tough adversity and IMO, he's still too young and immature on how to handle it the best way.

I don't think we'll draft Mannion BUT we do need to find the best backup to Kap we can get.
As far as I'm concerned this season is toast, over & done.
I'm focusing on the draft and winning it next year.
If Kap goes down, especially early, then we need a quality guy to step in and take over - not just get by.

I wouldn't think threads could get any worse than they were from 2005-2010, but I was wrong. People are acting like we have Terry Donahue in the front office and Dennis Erickson on the sidelines.

Classic square peg round hole.Kaps not Manning or Brady. The very things that made him sucessful are the things that Harbaugh and GRo have taken out of the offense. They are tryingnome to make him a drop back under center Qb and thats just not what hes best at

Kaepernick can't beat the Raiders so why play him in the next three games?

Totally agree. Let's see if we have anything with Gabbert. After we get blown out against Seattle with Kapernick under center we would just have proven once again that Kapernick can't play.

i tell you what, if next year began tomorrow and vernon, boone, crabs, and lupati were not on this team i would be more than fine with that.. of course you have to find better replacements for them but thats a whole other story for a whole other thread

Gabbert's not the answer...it's Kap's team and he needs to show he can do the job. Besides, unless he gets hurt, there's no way Harbaugh would put Gabbert in.

Might not be a bad idea. We all know Kaep has no chance at Seattle. Didnt Sherman say we were predictable?
Might as well throw a wrench in this outfit...maybe Gabbert pulls off a surprise like Kaep did when Alex went down. Plus he's more of a "pocket passer" than Kaep, and isn't that what Roman wants ?

Brooks is the prime exampleOriginally posted by jreff22:Originally posted by buck:Originally posted by solidg2000:Every other player is held accountable aside from Kaep
Can you offer some evidence to back up this assertion?
I think he's talking about benching players.
Also Lemonaid was benched

Well, I really think that Kaep is now all F-up in his head, so I do agree to start Gabbert.. or, he Kaep can do a Mark Sanchez (Jets) like and pretend he gets hurt so there's a reason for him to sit on the bech w/o any controversy..
Afterall, how else can Gabbert hurt us??? Nothing to lose, everything to gain...
