Is the offense going to flip a switch and suddenly become competent? I'll believe it when I see it.

All we need is one and Phil Dawson.
Might not even need one if its a defensive struggle.
It's not like were playing Denver where we know they're gonna throw TDs.

I think all the switches have been flipped.

As PATHETIC as our offense has been....and its been PATHETIC....shame on the fans that have given up. Criticize all you want, b***ch and complain all you want, throw everyone under the bus, blame Kaep the coaches the fans Jed....but don't jump ship until we are out of contention.
SHAME.
It is called being realistic. The 49ers offense has been absolutely horrible all season. What has their offense proved to you that has convinced you that the are capable of being a contender? It sounds good to say things like "we believe" and "we are faithful. You have not provided any evidence as to why the 49ers offense will be better.
My sentiments exactly

We know this team tends to play down to their competition, so the "adversity" their facing now will help them play w/ some urgency - that's when we're at our best.

This loss to Sea in a way reminded me of our loss to Giants in the 2012 regular season (week 4?)- when there was so much talk about "revenge" after losing the NFCCG to them. Everybody had that game circled, just like they had the Thanksgiving matchup last week. And what happened? We lost brutally and the "sky was falling" after both losses.
One thing Harbaugh's niners have shown that they rebound very well. The loss to Sea may be a blessing in disguise and a turning point. It's dumb to throw in the towel for a team that has accomplished so much in the recent past and history suggests there's usually a team (that's not considered a favorite/off the radar) that gets hot/stumbles into playoffs. Nothing can be a more defining moment this year than pulling out a W in Sea and that opportunity is at hand. It's reassuring that Sea has already lost at home.
Some tweaks to the offense can have a significant difference. It's well known when Bruce Miller gets his snaps we do well as an offense. Going heavy on 3/4 WR hasn't bode well for us. By now, the coaches should realize what our true identity is and their competent to make changes.
Can't rule out return for Bowman and Dorsey either at this point.

Man, I do hope youre right. They definitely have played down to their opponents all year, so lets hope they dont do it again this week! I highly doubt Bowman will be back though. He hasn't even practiced yet so no way are they gonna throw him in the fire risking his knee. The only thing I can see happening is they maybe put him on the 53 man roster and make him inactive for gamedays, with the hope of him coming back before the season ends. I just dont want them risking it if he isn't even good enough to practice yet

ESPN playoff machine was posted in the NFL Talk section...
http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
here is my post over there.
http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/nfl/180420-espn-playoff-machine/
but basically, even if we lose to the Seahawks...its not the end of the road.... still a pretty good chance of getting in, IF Stanton from the Cards..keeps stinking it up. (most importantly, losing to the Rams and Seahawks)
they just lost their RB Arrington for a bit.
we just need to take care of business vs the Chargers at home...not an easy task, and beat the Cards... I believe we'll be the Raiders...but if we let those fools stick around the whole game...anything can happen.

this. how the fk can anyone actually think otherwise? I think we'll put up a better effort, but in the end, the result will be the same.
Only saving grace is that team has had nack for coming back when their backs are against the wall. 1-2 vs philly, got the win. 4-4 at New Orleans and they gutted out a victory. 1-2 last year, won 5 straight. Yes looking at the tape you wonder how we have a shot but I think the defense can easily hold seattle to 6-10 points and force turnovers which I think would be enough to get a win

You'll know pretty fast if jimbo has really attacked the week and gotten it right:
1st down -- Gore left;
2nd down -- 25 yard out;
3rd down -- 25 yard post;
4th down -- punt
1st down -- Gore right;
2nd down -- 25 yard post;
3rd down -- 25 yard out;
4th down -- punt
See the adjustments? Last week we ran 30 yard patters.
We ARE right on schedule. Just the schedule doesn't include playoffs.

Just did the playoff machine and for the 49ers to get the 3 seed, they gotta run the table LMFAO wont happen, and Seattle has to lose this week to philly and next week to 49ers and Arizona needs to lose 3 out of 4 including the last game vs 49ers. Not out of realm of possibility but aint gonna happen. I see the 49ers with a 9-7 record and Luck 10-6 if they get lucky and won't be enough because Detroit has a easier schedule and cowgirls is kinda not too difficult either. That Rams Loss is Looming huge, even if the 49ers beat Oakland, sanDiego and Az, they would be 10-6 and would need AZ,Detroit and Dallas to really start sucking a biggie. Too much to ask especially when the 49ers themselves average 13 points a game.

I'm sure the Raiders will be pissed after what the Rams did to them so the Niners better watch out

Our best chances of winning the SB is if Seattle gets knocked out before we can meet them in the playoffs.
