Hard to argue any of those observations. Is he improving? Yes, seems to be but not on a consistent basis. Regresses, progresses, regresses, progresses. There's no denying the O-line has not helped and plays a big role in Kap's struggles. There iS hope, but one should still expect better progress and consistency in his 3rd year. I'm not really a fan of Crabtree, but he's got to be getting frustrated himself for all the times he's been open and targeted, only to have a bad pass. That disputed TD this weekend was a good example. Terrible throw. Not to mention the throw to the right corner of the endzone that sailed a mile high. Almost looked like a throwaway, it was that bad. Maybe we should just can any pass play that involves throwing to Crabtree in the right corner? Just a thought.
If Kap's mental grasp of the game ever approaches the level of his physical skills, THEN, he will be formidable indeed. Still waiting.

OK. That may impact the number of times they were sacked, but not sure how it affects the other stats.

Maybe you should do a little explaining about your stats. First you are comparing the whole careers with out posting year by year totals, where Luck has improved leaps and bounds each of the 3 years he has played.

If you look at yards per attempt and QB rating Kaepernick has regressed since his first season of starting. Luck started as a rookie on a team that was 2-14 the prior year, Kap started as a second year player on a team that was 13-3 the prior year. Luck is the major reason why the Colts are a double digit win team since he got there, as their defense is nothing but average at best.

I don't understand how anybody could think Kaepernick was fit to carry Andrew Luck's water bottle. Crazy the stuff the homers come up with.

If you really watch Luck play, one thing stands out pretty clearly - Luck stares down his receivers a heck of a lot more than Kaepernick does. If you don't see that when watching the two of them, you're not paying attention. Don't get me wrong. I think Luck is real good. But, he has his problems as well. I just wish Kaepernick had a legitimate speed burner like Hilton to throw long bombs to like Luck does.

I think Alex Smith is better off with the Chiefs. He really fits in Reid's system, much more than Harbaugh/Roman's, and is playing much better because of that.

Watching the Chiefs highlights makes me nostalgic for the good, old days of Bill Walsh's WCO.
