I was referring to my argument with Rascal. Sorry, should have made that clear.

I liked Seastrunk, but he's not even a lock to make the Redskins. Hyde is the superior back, and it's not even close. We got the best back in the draft who's a perfect fit for our running style.
Between Crabtree, Boldin, Johnson, Lloyd, Patton, Ellington...we seem to be sitting pretty at WR. It's not like Baalke has done nothing to address the position. Teams would KILL for that depth, and here we are arguing over a theoretical scenario where we should have took an unproven player in the 2nd. WHO CARES, complete waste of time to argue about it. We're good.

Our current backup QB situation, well, if Kap goes down for 2 or 3 games our season is over. This wouldn't be the case with a viable backup. Counting on Gabbert for that role wasn't a smart move. We need to admit this.

What's going to happen if Kap doesn't miss a game this year??? What the fudge are we going to do with Gabbert??? He's horrible. What if he drops the clip board and Frank trips and falls on it running out to the field breaking his ankle??? We can't have that!!!
Why don't we concentrate on a back up position that will have to see the field at least early on. Like MLB or back up NT. Even if we got Ponder, Jeff Garcia, Terrelle Pryor or any other asinine suggestion if one of them has to play we are in trouble and have zero shot at a ring. A lot of worry over someone who will only see the field in mop up duty.
EXACTLY!! someone who gets it lol

Exactly ! When RG3 went down, Kirk Cousins stepped in big time. And quite frankly if the Redskins had pulled RG3 earlier in the game against the Seahawks, who knows they might have even won that game and moved on in the playoffs.

lol, they both played so well that the coach got fired

First of all, I will bet you any money Seastrunk will make Redskin's roster.
As for WRs, you can't just rely on signing a bunch of old guys. You have to develop young blood, if not eventually it will come back to haunt you. For example, if we had picked Alshon Jeffrey instead of AJ Jenkins, we would have been sitting happy for years to come now. Anquan is getting old and in any case he is not a deep threat. Lloyd hasn't played for one full year and is also getting old. As for Crab, we don't even know whether we can keep him after this season. As for Johnson, it remains to be seen what he can do. That leaves Patton and Ellington. While Ellington has shown some promising signs, I wouldn't exactly call Patton a WR stud.

yeah cousins 58 qb rating last season was off the charts

Look at this roster bro. It's freakin' loaded. Obviously the front office knows the importance of drafting and developing young blood. That's how we became an elite team in the first place. We've done it all throughout the roster.
Yeah, I'm pissed we passed on Jeffery for Jenkins. It happens. Nobody is perfect when it comes to the draft, you just have to be better at it than most everyone else. Baalke is one of the top GMs in the league. Proof is in the pudding. We win games, and the roster is stacked. WR is one of the deepest positional groups on the roster this year. He'll take another WR high in the draft when appropriate.

Cousins' 58 QB rating was caused by the team as a whole. In my book, he is a promising QB or are you saying you would rather have Gabbert over Cousins ?
Oh, I get it you don't like Cousins as an example. How about Josh McCown then ? Will that work for you ? The truth is there is a truckload of back-up QBs who are miles better than Gabbert.

But, that is my point. Wouldn't you agree this year would have been appropriate to take a WR high if Baalke didn't trade for Johnson and sign Lloyd ? What I am saying is if Baalke keeps doing that year in year out, there will never be that so-called "appropriate" moment to take a WR high in your definition.

I hear you. I think Baalke is smart enough to know he can't always rely on veteran free agents, or trades, to solidify the WR group. At some point, you have to draft quality young players for the long-term. Evidently, this year wasn't the year, and that's OK for me. It's impossible to address every need in one draft, I get that. We still came away with a very good prospect in Ellington. That was widely considered to be a huge steal. 2nd round value in the 4th.
Trust me, there will be a draft when we aggressively attack the WR spot with higher draft choices. We tried in 2012, and screwed it up with Jenkins. Given Baalke's rate of success on 1st rounders, I bet he doesn't miss again on a WR like that.

Back up QB position is a complete disaster. None currently on the roster are serviceable no. 2s and if we have to rely on any of them at any point this season, we're in big trouble. You can bet we'll be drafting a QB no later than the mid rounds next year. This QB carousel system needs to end now. Get a young, cheap kid and develop him.
Definitely know what you mean about three straight runs catching up with us. I pray it's not this year. An ATL Falcons type fall would be nightmarish.
I am surprised we have neglected backup QB and backup OT in the draft.
I don't usually criticize the FO or staff but to have thirteen picks in a QB loaded draft and not spend a single one on a QB, especially when this is the crap they brought in to show for behind Kap is completely ridiculous. I hope they're willing to change their approach after this because this is not defendable.
Epic fail on Fales
I wanted to draft Garoppolo and he could have easily smoked Gabbert.
