Guaranteed we gonna take one next year.

I agree. Harbaugh is a great coach but I'm not really seeing the uber-QB guru title anymore. Musical chairs behind starting QB and not even a glimpse of anything decent.

Ya it's troubling.

I still think he's a legit QB guru, but that doesn't mean he can turn s**t into gold. If anything, I would criticize his selection of backup QBs, but not his ability to teach.

Isn't that part of being a QB guru, not only spotting but cultivating QB talent. Like the whole second round grade pre-draft grade on Romo.

Yes, but it's hit-and-miss. Nobody can get it right 100% of the time. He hit big on Smith and Kap, both QBs people HIGHLY questioned his judgement on.

I'm just happy he missed on the backups, and not the starter.
Plus you guys have to remember Jim is a head coach he has a million things on his plate. If he was a QB coach and had one QB to work with all the time and a few years he could probably turn them around. Instead he's working with 4-5 guys a year plus managing the rest of the team. Like I said though I really wish he would stop playing with the toys, draft one he likes early and then mold that guy and work with that guy instead of wasting time on broken toys. Side note he helped turn around our starting QB's with Alex and helped Kap improve a lot so that's more of a concern than turning around our #2 or 3 or 4 QB. That's the main thing what is he doing with our STARTER.

You won't know unless they play in a regular season game. Big part of QBing is game planning. There is none now.

I thought Romo wasnt even drafted? Maybe I was thinking of someone else.

Todays game was good news as far as Dial and Tank go. That's all I need to consider this day a plus. I really liked what I saw from them. Our backup QB spot is BAD but I'm expecting Kap to stay in the pocket more this season anyway.

I would Welcome Tim Tebow with open arms. There is no way with a straight face anyone can tell me Blaine Crabbert or Josh is as good as Tim Tebow. No effing WAY!! Tebow tomorrow.

And be on the hook for two QBs who have no shot of winning?

You guys are thinking about this all wrong... if sh*t hits the fan and Kap goes down, Gabbert's our ticket to a top 10 pick!

Josh Johnson and Blaine Gabbert are miles ahead of Tebow... (that was pretty easy)

Very true. My problem with Gabbert is that there is real film on him from Jacksonville. Granted his supporting cast sucked, but Henne clearly outplayed him and that's troubling. Now he's here and showing the exact same problems, albeit even worse as he's learning a new, complex offense. I don't think he has what it takes.
