Long BUT excellent article on Tank & Lattimore.
Gist - it breaks down Tank's game and skills. Good Comparison with Watt & Cowboy. Tank falls in between both.
Gist - Lattimore can also be an excellent receiver. Runs like Emmitt Smith and has the heart of Fran the Tank.

Great read - If, IF - both players can reach 90% of their projected potential, the 49ers will be very competitive next year.... maybe superbowl competitive. With the west looking the way it does, the 49ers can't have a 2013 type season (injuries, play-calling, game-planning, QB developing).
However, if Tank (looks like a heavy version of Smith) just takes off, and stays healthy, the 49ers should be able to disrupt QB's to the level of not really requiring a tun of help from the DBs.
If Lat comes back at full strength, and the run playcalling improves, the 49ers will have the top rush offense in the league.... AND..... Keap will have time / openings to throw - through play action.

I really have a feeling lattimore is the big back we've been waiting for. I wonder what his NFL weight is going to be.

wow, that was a very good article! way more than I expected out of BR. I really think in a year or 2, the 2013 draft will look like the 2011 draft for the Niners, Reid is already a stud and I think in time McDonald and Lemonier will be very good also, Tank and Lattimore could end up being the best of the bunch.

In re: next season from Dr. Andrews:
Andrews says Lattimore's work ethic has been on par with another Andrews' patient, Adrian Peterson. The Minnesota Vikings running back came within nine yards of the single season rushing record after tearing his ACL the previous season.
"He's twice as far along as we ever expected him to be. He's so self motivated," Andrews says of Lattimore. "This weight he's put on has been all muscle, which is absolutely impossible in most cases. It remains to be seen if he can play this season.
"We've had to slow him down in certain activities because he'd get ahead of us. He's one of the finest young men I've ever had the opportunity to help take care of."
