In the beginning he said he wanted people to know who he really was. Plus, i'm sure he and his family who were participants got a solid pay check for that appearance.

Also, its better to share that story personally before deadspin or something got a hold of it and cocked up the facts or made his family look bad.

Yeah millions of people do deal with it but not everyone overcomes that to become an all-pro millionaire linebacker. That is the point i think.

Edit: This all occurred I believe in the summer of 2008 (so in a 3 month period he lost the dad that raised him, found out after that he wasn't his bio dad, found out his bio dad was killed, met his half-sister and family AND made eye contact with the man that shot and killed his dad). Man, sometimes we forget these players have lives outside of football and now I'm hypersensitive to Eric Wright and his personal matters...esp. after Adrian Peterson lost his son.

I'm not filled in on this. What is up with Eric Wright?

you know his new found hood family was probably thinking they win the lottery. lol
