There were 113 corner backs that played at least 25 % of their team snaps in 2012. There were 88 safeties that played 25% of their team snaps in 2012.

Here are the numbers for SF Players. I included Dashon Goldson's number even though he is no longer on the team.

Brown had a pretty good season last year. I expect a solid year from him but I hope if we try to re-sign him after this season we don't give him more than 3 years and and maybe 6 mil at most a year. I think Brown can get 4-5 years and as much as 5-6 a year from somebody else. We were desperate with Rogers and we made a mistake. He's serviceable but no way was he worth the 4 years 31 million. I think Rogers will have to restructure after this year or he is gone. I think he will likely restructure and will be the 3rd or 4th CB after this season. Culliver will likely be the #1 or 2 after this year. Hope he has been working on tracking the ball in the air this year. If he would improve on that he could be a pretty good 2 or solid 1. He had a few bad games including the super bowl but other than that was really solid last year. Not expecting much from Asomugha and I just don't see him being what he was with Oakland. He could be back for another year if he does solid as a 3 or 4. I'm just not expecting much. With Brown, Asomugha, Brock and Cox being FA's after this year and Rogers possibly being cut I expect a fully different secondary in 2014. I expect us to draft 1 or 2 CB's within the first 2-3 rounds in next years draft.

A lot will be riding on the pass rush again. Hopefully we rotate more and keep guys fresh. Pretty well documented with Justin and Aldon's injuries the defense really went down hill towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. During the regular season we had the 3rd best overall defense, 4th best pass defense and 4th run defense. Don't expect that again. I expect the defense to drop off some, especially the pass defense. We will be counting on the offense to be as explosive as it was at the end of the season. We won't be playing games how we played them with Alex Smith at QB. Hope everyone enjoyed that 2011 defense because to me we won't see that again. The offense will be scoring more and the defense will be on the field more and giving up more points than how we played it with Alex. We will be getting into more shootouts. Could take Reid awhile to get comfortable at FS. Hopefully Whitner is better this year but I could see him gone after this year if he isn't. Might be time to draft a SS high next year.
