In a recent article wide receiver Ricardo Lockette referred to us, the fans, as Niner Empire and Niner Nation. I immediately thought WTF! When did that happen?

Thoughts?

A player acknowledges our existence and you complain.

Faithful, Nation, or Empire, I really do not care.

Lockette was speaking to us, which is a good thing. Don't b***h, appreciate it.

JT the Brick (or one of his callers) dubbed us the Niner Empire in the late 90's
"Faithful" indicates that we believe in something that is not empirically provable but as the 49er brotherhood is as real as it gets I'd embrace an alternative.

SF = Semper Fidelis = Forever Faithful
