They could stop Frank Gore and still lose. They could limit our passing game and still lose. Matt Ryan could have a good game and still lose. The 49ers have so many different ways to beat them, it is amazing. All we have to do is limit Atlanta's passing attack and we win. But I have thought of a scenario where Atlanta can win.

Keys to the Game:
1. Atlanta plays great red zone defense and forces the 49ers to kick field goals. 49ers are not a great red zone team, and we know about our kicking troubles. If the 49ers have trouble getting into the end zone, be worried.
2. Atlanta proves that they can run against our nickel defense, and forces the 49ers to play base 3-4. The 49ers are much more effective playing a one dimensional team. All of our losses had one thing in common - they had an effective rushing attack (not 100% sure about St Louis, but that was a weird game where we gave them 10 of their 13 points).

I can't see Atlanta stopping our offense in the middle of the field. We have too many different ways to beat them, but the red zone is where we have to be effective, and conceivably that is where we could lose. And if we see that they can't run against us (and I would expect us to insist that they prove that they can run against our nickel), then we have this game in the bag, since I can't see them beating us through the air when we are in consistent nickel.

You're right. The Niners SHOULDN'T lose this game. On paper the Niners are much better.

But don't discount LUCK (I don't mean the player ). A series of bad breaks to start off the game. If the defense, in particular, loses it's composure and the game gets out of hand. It can happen and has.

However, if the breaks fall evenly. The Niners should win.

1. The Niners seem to be getting much better in the redzone. The current QB is not afraid to pull the trigger and the playcalling is also trending towards being more aggressive.

2. The defense should be able to squash the Atlanta run game. Unless the Smiths are more hurt than they are letting on. Stopping the run is a Niner strength if they are healthy. The Falcons don't have elite RBs either as Turner seems to have regressed this year. The Niners front must pressure Ryan, and they should be able to. Otherwise, Atlanta's receivers will make the Niners pay.
RIP Roddy White

That's what Roddy is banking on. He wants the dirty hits because it'll cost us.

We need to keep to our style. The best tackling ream in the league.

Hollywood hits are for other teams......
Our team gained even more confidence that we can play from behind after that pick six. Early in the year, we sucked if we got down early. I think the mental toughness of this team has gotten better since the first half of the season.
Just got done having some rough morning day-off sex with the woman, she let me role-play as "Crabtree".

Dunno why, but feelin' really good about tomorrows game!
For some reason I'm worried that we end up like the next philadelphia eagles in early 2000s, where we always get to nfc championship but lose. Wed better win this s**t!

I think last year getting to the playoffs and having such an epic game against the Saints took a lot out of us. That being said we were still two fumbled punt recoveries away from the show. This year seems different..can't explain it but it just does.

I had a dream back in October that we'd be playing the Championship in Atlanta, really creepy s**t. -Everything just feels 'right', like this 'IS' the year, everything has come together, the stars are aligned, the Rolling Stones, the creepy NFC vs AFC East scheduling anomaly which results in that team going to the Superbowl (seeing now that Seattle is gone).

No. Kaepernick is in way better shape and more accurate than FatNabb.

Also, he doesn't hurl when he gets nervous. Which is always a plus.
Everyone that thinks the stars are aligned are very much right. It does feel right this year. I remember last year watching the Giants Packers game and thinking oh God we have to play that Giant team next. And it didn't feel good, but Atlanta is so going down. Especially if they're talking? I can't wait to shut them up and win this years Superbowl!!
