Correct me if I'm not mistaken, but I think the NFL is using a lottery type system for refs this year.

What this means is, whole crews do not make it. Instead, each individual position for the 7 different refs on the field could all be from different crews. For Championship Sunday, the crews are the 2nd best crews based on performance from the regular season, so the 2nd best crews could be extremely mixed.

I hope I made myself clear. Not the best at explaining these things.

While I'm not sure about the specifics, I believe you're correct Dan, they're using some sort of format that puts the best officials in at the various positions. You can think of it (provided you're not bothered by the oxymoron) as All-Star teams for the officials.

Thanks! Hoping that the refs let them play.

Falcons are going to come in focused and prepared Falcons 69 49ers 6

did you say the same thing regarding the Packers game?

if we don't get smoked, will you promise to not post stuff like this nonsense before the SuperBowl?

in your mind everyone is telling the 9ers players they are "great"...but in the locker room its totally different feeling.. Harbaugh and the Vets will not let them overlook the Falcons. Heck some of the younger players, along with the Vets & coaches....they remember last year...they remember that feel.

If we win he should keep posting whatever he wants imo.

Kind of like when the Giants came into Candlestick last year and everybody was jumping on their bandwagon (after they romped GB) and were telling them that they would beat SF and they were feeling all good about themselves, and then we came in focused and prepared and beat them. Oh wait...guess it doesnt work like that.

Huh? He was late or what?
Okay, I just brought good karma for our team. I told my friend Morsuray (A Packers fan) that I would buy her dinner if the 49ers won the Super Bowl. She already owes me two dinners because the Packers lost to us in Week 1 and the Playoffs, so I thought I'd bring us some good karma buy treating her to dinner if we win the big dance.

I suggest you all do the same with your best friends/family.

This is just an educated guess but I think we will see Alex and Kaep on e field at the same time this game or in the Super Bowl. The way I envision it logging down is Alex taking the snap in a pistol formation and him either pitching it to Kaep or throwing it backwards to him. Kaep would then have a pass / run option.

I think it is in the play book and they will pull it out if the game with Atlanta is close in the second half or, of the Niners are up they will save it for the Super Bowl.

Remember you heard it here first.

Umm... Why? Kaep can do all that and there is less chance of error.

Nolan and crew have spent all week getting their guys prepped for what they just saw us do to GB. The DE's have had it drilled in them that in the pistol they have contain on the QB. Switch it up on them and now Kaep is outside the DE.

Not sure if my GF would like that.
Clearly Nolan is going to play zone on this game. I think he forgets the spy because spies can't get to Kaep anyways so why short change your coverage. This will allow them to better cover the holes that Miller exploited last week. So, perfect D right? WRONG. Harbaugh and Roman are counting on Nolan doing exactly this. They will turn to the offensive line and put the game on them with a heavy dose of Gore against the zone. I also expect to see mor Kaep runs but for fewer yards because of the zone. Finally I don't know how they stop Crabtrree in the zone so expect him to hav a big day as usual.

After Atlanta gets down a fe scores they will shift out of the zone into man blitz and that is when Kaep will kill them with his legs. Similar to GB I expect this one to be close for 2-3 quarters and then the Niners will pull away.

SF 38. ATL 21.
