Who might the 49ers trade for?

I watched the game just now and Tim Ryan was saying that we have a ton of picks for 2013, and we couldn't use them all anyways, so might as well trade for someone this coming week... He feels maybe an OLB who is a proven pass rusher. I for one think that's a great idea. Thoughts?

darryl tapp from eagles was on the block... was good at Virginia TEch and then with seattle. Signed 3 years 9 mil with Eagles so he will have 2 years left on his contract. Might get cut so not sure if we would trade for him but they could use a QB since they cut Kafka (#3)... Only problem is not sure we can afford 2.6 mil on the cap. Seems unlikely though with us already making 1 trade today.

This isn't a bad thread. Maybe we just hang onto the picks until the trade deadline. If someone get's hurt you could make a move. The think that makes the most sense is to use those picks and get more to be flexible to move up and around the draft next year. I don't think we will trade for an OLB. I bet we do sign one or two that hit waivers on OLB rich teams.

We are expected to do very well right now, which makes our picks less valuable in the draft. We are better off waiting till the end of the season to start trading picks. They won't be worth less, and they may be worth more (hopefully not!). Trading for a player now wouldn't make much sense either. They wouldn't be able to contribute much since they missed all of camp.

i think harbaalke is targeting some players to trade up for in the 2013 draft. with all the picks we got we might be able to sneak 2 picks in the first and still have a good amount of picks to use for depth
