f**king ridiculous how people are still arguing about Alex Smith.

He helped us win the f**king game and threw 2 TDs and no INTs.

GET OVER IT. Holy s**t.

It's actually sad. And tired.

Its f**king retarded how people think that we didn't throw the ball around all day like Green Bay did cuz we don't trust Alex or whatever...

Its just the way we play football: we stop the run to make the other team extremely one dimensional, then we run the ball ourselves. I believe we racked up close to 200 yards rushing today, no? And there was that period of 5 straight possessions where we scored during which Alex was just lighting it up.

Get over it, he's our f**king QB and a damn good one. Not elite, but just what this type of team needs: a smart leader who can take care of the football and make plays when he needs to.

And btw, Staley better step the f**k up.

its true alex played it smart today no turnovers 2tds come on cant knock him off he did what he had to wich was not turn the ball over and trow 2tds and earned the victory! give him credit for that people he is showing inprovment.!

A lot of the game plan was to run the ball to play keep away, so Rodgers and his offense won't be on the field as much. We had 186 rushing yards. So why are people complaining 'bout ...again...

No but you are making a mountain out of a molehill Oak, he did outperform Rodgers today. Does that mean he is a better QB all the time, no one would say that, but today he was the better QB.
Even that I would disagree with. Alex was on the better TEAM today, thats all. No need for people to get defensive, but thats the truth (in my eyes anyway). That doesn't mean I hate God, family and America..... Edit: I made a response comment and 10 posters jumped on me on how I ruined their day and am not enjoying the victory, which is ludicris.

I don't understand how you can disagree with that. He put up the same amount of TDs and less INTs on fewer Passing Attempts, and led the offense to outscore an Aaron Rodgers led offense.
'49ers Edge out Packers...'

Freak'n ESPN.... We dominated and led the whole game.

Haven't you heard? It's a new law, if you don't like an elected president, you hate America and support the terrorists. If you don't like the starting quarterback, you hate the rest of the 52 players and the coaches, and don't enjoy the victories.

Freak'n ESPN.... We dominated and led the whole game.

The only reason why it was a 1 possession game at the end was because of the stupid mother f**kers in the black n' white stripes.

We will have the regular refs back Week 2. Book it. Goddell was no doubt watching the 49ers-Packers game today and was probably embarrassed that these retards were allowed on the field. Easily one of the worst ref'ed games I've ever seen. Bad calls went both ways, however, so the Packers can't play the blame game.

We just straight up beat them. I really was never that nervous, to tell you the truth.
if anything, I hope we can all agree on that our coaches design some plays that get our receivers WIDE open. To Alex's credit, he hits them accurately. He did this last year as well.

I just hate when we show that we are obviously going to run the ball on some of these short down situations. If we just came out in normal iformations or just normal stuff, or heck at least put Randy at wideout...and maybe motion Vernon out to the other side...I think we can be more successful in these crucial 3rd/4th and shorts situations.

Agreed. Can't stand those obvious running formations. At least keep Walker and Davis in the game.
49ers won with 49 seconds left.
The 49ers played a good game, but they start to open up the offence alittle more. The niners got way to conservative in the third quarter.I think they should have taken a couple of trys down the field.

Both our defense and offense did exactly what I thought they would do to the Packers going into the game. It was very hairy towards the end because deep inside you know Rodgers and his offense has a chance to get back in it. They are too good. But defense showed they were up to the challenge when that happened. I was nervous as hell.

Agreed. Our play designs on offense are innovative and clever. One clear example of this today was when we motioned Miller against a CB. It almost seems that we abide by a few set of principles and we try our best to exploit schemes and tendencies the best way possible.
