Should David Akers have made the NFL top 100 of 2012?

He had the best season ever for a kicker. Are we going to totally dismiss what a great kicker does for your team? If Jose Cortez were kicking for us this past season, we would have been a .500 team. With Akers we go 13-3. Any respect for kickers in the NFL?

Akers is a good kicker that benefited from our offensive struggles in the redzone. The top 100 players basically averages out to 3 players per team. If you were starting a franchise, would Akers be in your top 3 choices to build around?

dunno...who was at 100 and 99??? I mean without his FG's then maybe we are not 13-3...we did win a lot of close games...

Of course he should have...Andy Lee should have as well if he didn't. Those guys have a profound impact on the game.
