I hope so.

If he only fumbled on rushing attempts, it's not so bad because (like you rightfully pointed out) he had many rushing attempts.

my next jersey purchase will be LaMichael James, anyone know what digits he'll be wearing?
I'd be nervous about LMJ returning punts - not because of ball security, but because of the full-speed hits he might absorb. You don't want a guy under 200 lbs getting his clock cleaned by a gunner with a head full of steam. I'd rather have LMJ in on offensive plays suited to his attributes; at least he has more control over the kind of hits he's willing to take. We want this guy to dominate for 10+ years!

You are aware that Ted Ginn is listed as 5-11 180 which makes him 3 inches taller and 15 pounds lighter then LaMichael right? James is 5-8 195. Pretty sure he'll be fine.

Devin Hester: 5'11" 190 lbs.

Then let Ginn take the hits. LMJ is like a Ferrari in that I'd wanna keep the mileage low, initially at least. Now if he goes heads with #52 in practice and knocks Willis into next Tuesday, then we as reckless with this Ferrrari as we want to be.

ps. LMJ will never truck Willis in a million years.

Some have questioned the 49ers taking James on rd 2. I don't - He's completely different from every back they have on the roster

James will be good for 100 carries this year. 6-8 carries a game, he's going to be a stud. Were going to see Gore's workload drop from almost 300 carries to about 200 this year. Keep Hunter around 100 maybe up his carries to 125+ but James will see the field a lot this year.
