Trying to clarify some misinformation from some haters. Thanks!

The Salary cap infractions were for the '97 season. I'm pretty sure they were for Steve Young's contract restructure and something to do with Jim Drukenmiller's contract. There also might have been other cap violation but I can't remember. The punishment was haned down in 2000 or 2001 and it was draft picks. I'm also pretty sure it was a 5th and another higher round draft pick. I want to sat a 3rd but i'm not too sure on that one.

Reason I ask, is some fa***t Giants fans are wanting to put an asterisk on our '94 superbowl season because of cap violations.

I wanted to see if they were correct in that we violated cap that year or not. Very easy to throw stones when it's not your house.

Here, I found a link with the info you were looking for.

They were for the 1997 '98 seasons. And the punishment was a 5th round pick in 2001 and a 3rd round pick in 2002.

Just show them the link to the article in my post above and clown th f**k out them! They are very wrong, I 've had to defend this same thing before because there was this one article online with the wrong info and then some hater linked it to the 94' Niners wikapedia page and it spread like wildfire amongst the hater idiots that think wikapedia is a completely reliable resource. I've spent hella time fighting to get it right and keep it that way. People think just because it's writen on the internet it's the truth!

A rival fan's asterisk is completely meaningless of course. Those fall into the "pouty whiner asterisks" in the world of asterisks. Despite the tough guy fronting from NY Giants fans, it sounds like some of them are little crybaby's dwelling on stuff from decades ago.
