---I like this part:
We even have a board out there called a family board, where we want everyone to bring in pictures of their family so that when you walk past them and you see individuals with their family, you know that we're playing for all these people, not just everybody in this locker room. I think that's one of the biggest things that he's done around here.

There are a million little things like this that make coach so great. Mike Mayock during the T-Day game mentioned how when JOHN Harbaugh was a ST coach with Philly and he had dreams of being a HC he had a like a 6 inch or was it a foot thick binder of everything from workouts to DIETs. Their dad was a coach so they are well prepared as I am sure Jim had a binder with all his philosophies on that sort of stuff to. There is a lot to being a coach besides X's and O's. Dealing with players and caring about them and their families.... some coaches don't care to even know these players outside of football, motivating, practice drills, workouts, diets, off the field conduct, working with agents, dealing with the media, presentation, etc. Something as simple as sitting down to lunch with the guys and asking them how they are doing and how their families are is somthing most coaches don't do but it can have a major impact. Giving up a 1st class seat on the plane to another player so he can go sit and chat with the guys. Things like that make you a coach players love but you better be able to back it up with your smarts or that wears off.
