Wonder if anyone has noticed this, most of our game winning TDs have come down to a 3rd n 3.

1982: 3rd and 3/Montana to Clark

1998: 3rd and 3/Young to Owens

2012: 3rd and 3/Smith to Davis

Coincidence, I think so.

Wasn't Vernon's TD yesterday on a 3rd 8 though? B/c we had a too many men in the huddle penatly.

All 3 of "The Catches" were on 3rd and 3.

Wow pretty unreal.

What is interesting is Alex actually had the cleanest drive out of all three. Montana needed Elliot to make a few big runs. Young was nearly picked twice and almost slipped. Smith was just absolutely methodical on that last drive.

Obviously not taking anything away from Montana/Young but it's encouraging to see Smith lead a clean late 2 min drive.
