One thing good did come from Vernon's dunk, and that was that he didn't break his wrist or blow out a vein in his wrist. When he dunked that puppy, he clanged the inner aspect of his wrist (everybody heard it on TV and radio). There was a huge "Klang" and i thot, "oh great, Vernon just screwed up his wrist." Fortunately that DIDN'T happen, but he was lucky. One thing for sure. The guy may be fast, but he can jump higher than he can run. Impressive, just impressive, every single thing Vernon did yesterday. All season he has blocked for others, gotten his catches, but for every play he didn't get passed to, he blocked super. His final catch at 9 seconds to go, was actually better then T.O.s, because he really got smacked. His reception before the last play, was another beauty, and there is no question that alex and vernon have been rehearsing the basket catch over the shoulder. "Stone hands" has become "sure hands".
I don't want to take away from T.O.s catch, because he got sandwiched too. I just think Vernon did a good job keeping the ball and not getting knocked out from the hit he took.
