one OBVIOUS negative about this game

3rd down conversions

Uhm did u watch the Saints last week? DId you think we were going win 45 to nothing. Drew Brees threw for a record let me say it slow record number of yards. You name a team in the NFL that can blow out the playoff saints. Not the team early in the year but this team. Silly comment. It took three miracle amazing passes by the second best QB in the league and a HOFer to keep them in the game.

The obvious negative is we SERIOUSLY need a weapon opposite Crabtree. Ginn was banged up, but even when on the field he wasn't able to do much. Another top notch receiver would be huge for this team. Getting Delanie back helps too, obviously.

lol guys i didn't do this to discuss nothing but negatives i mean how about vd and that gore run and the play by smith this game but man if we go max protect against a blitz it will not work they can cover 3 guys if we send 5 or 6 then we have hot reads that can easily get very good gains but again man wow the play by alex smith and how about that secondary there were a lot of coverage sacks today

ok blowout was a strong word but when you go +4 and only win by that much then something's wrong i was thinking a 2 possesion victory

Crabtree blew a great opportunity with some drops and I think Smith was trying to get it to him early... he then realized when it mattered that Vernon was going to have to be his man. I think a BIG talented WR would make a huge difference on 3rd downs and in the red zone... Smith could use a reliable weapon... but Vernon did it today. Morgan might be able to be that, but not sure.

If you watch the replay, it looks like he was arm barred. He can only lift one hand for the catch.

there was some holding there, but watch it again and he actually slowed up, like he didnt think the ball was coming to him

desperately need a go to WR.

The game represented the best of what our players have done this season.

Vernon Davis -- One-on-one nightmare. Great blocker.
Gore -- Big play back when he gets any kind of space. Tough runner.
J. Smith -- The ultimate football player.
Aldon Smith -- Nightmare pass rusher.
Alex Smith -- Clutch. Avoids the interceptions.
Brooks -- Physical play-maker.
Willis and Bowman -- Tight coverage, tacklers.
Rogers -- Super tight coverage man, smart in zone.
Goldson -- Play-maker.
Whitner -- Hitter.

They came with their best tonight. The play-calling on both offense and defense needs to improve though.

I think it's better for the game to end in that fashion because it shows that the 49ers passing offense is much better than its low ranking during the regular season.

This is what I was saying in other posts. I was getting frustrated. All the turnovers we were getting and we weren't putting up TD's. We could have scored near 50 points which would have been epic. But yeah....Alex and the offense came through when it mattered most.

We need some serious help at WR though. Ginn could be out next week. Crabs, Williams, and Swain just doesn't scare anyone.Crabs dropped passes didn't help either. If we play GB, you can expect another blitz-o-rama and we will need Crabs and Williams to catch everything. Having another WR aside from Swain will help as well.

They always seem to play better under pressure, in the 4th quarter. Which could happen in the Championship game.
